Mental illness

Lack of funding, these types of people would have been in institutions back in the day. Now it's just a revolving door.

'Dorvilier was lodged in the Burlington County Corrections and Work Release Center in Pemberton Township.

Obviously this woman belonged in a mental institution not a jail. But because of politicans, lawyers, administrators and activists with no f'in clue about mental illness or just looking to save a buck (to stuff in their own pockets) let these freaks out on the streets with no supervision.

These idiots spout "patient rights", right to refuse treatment and "share the journey" BS, while putting just about everyone in danger.

We have the same nut job, dumb asses here as well, at least this one saved the taxpayer some coin:

Agree. Mental health ought to be a serious issue and not a punch line for idiot lawyers and bean-counters.

How we treat our mentally ill population speaks volumes about our values as a society - or lack thereof. If you've ever known anyone with a mental disorder (I have) you'd realize just how sad and terrible of a problem it is. Stigmatizing people and kicking them onto the street is hardly the right answer (unless you're one of the aforementioned lawyers, politicians or bean-counters).

These people need help, a sense of purpose and a way to live meaningful lives. It needn't be terribly expensive - just humane.

There is a rampant issue with lowly individuals popping babies out with no actualization of responsibility, many as a source of income. With a name like that, it's clear her parents were upstanding, intelligent, and productive citizens as well.
