What was the metal(?) fragment thing in the desert sand at the episode opening?

I think that was a glass shard he used to stab the guy before, well… trying to not spoil anything for people.

ramonesfreak 04-27-2022 05:19 AM

I never understood that car roll over from the opening scene in last seasons Ozark. kept waiting for something to happen throughout the season but nothing did

You have any insight into that?

yeah he found it in the trailer when they left him alone, and grabbed it then... I love this show, it's rare TV takes time to flesh out stories, mood, character, and be this compelling...

The big Q for me is Kim, she didn't feature in breaking bad, so I fear what may happen to her. My total guess is their shenanigans to take Howard down somehow backfire and she loses her law license, which drives her away...

i think that was them getting away and that was it. remember they were getting out of the Ozarks back to Chicago? the car crash was what ended up killing them, or not. you know how they like to leave questions in the final episode of show finales. that's my take anyway.

My mom & sister watch too and they did not pick up on the little whicker think falling from the moving truck into the gutter in the opening scene of this season. I only remember it cause i watched the last three episodes of last season before this season started. a point was made of Kim returning to her desk and grabbing that thing when she quit and was leaving the office last season.

great call on the piece of glass with the rain falling on it in this last episode open. I did not put that together.

Did you guys that watched Ozark notice the drawing at the open of the show with four images in it? it was images of clues to events in the upcoming episode. When I figured that out i'd always pause it and look closely at it.

That thing was the bottle stopper for the Zafiro anejo tequila she ordered when they scammed (Kim's first scam with Jimmy) the stock market broker in the bar/grill.

I think Mike added an envelope, though I'm not certain about it. This was the envelope with the bank statement in it. I'm guessing that the safe was swapped so that if there was anything Mike didn't want the other guys to see that was in it, he could deal with it in advance. And Mike being Mike, when he saw Nacho's dad's ID in it he took that out, too.

Since his clean cop son was killed, Mike has appointed himself as the sheepdog between criminals and innocents unknowingly associated with criminals. I think he is trying to redeem himself or win back some integrity with himself for being a corrupt cop.

The bank statement was a phoney they created showing payments from the Peruvians to throw them off the trail of the chicken man.

Rhea Seehorn was on Kimmel tonight. I rarely watch any of the late night talk shows anymore, but I tuned in around 15 minutes in after the monologue was over... she was the last guest before the B-52s.

I enjoyed her segment but was surprised that she came off kind of giggly and nothing like her thoughtful, restrained Kim. At first I thought she might've been nervous, but I think she was just being herself. Fun segment. It's worth watching if you're a fan...

Ouchy!

Howard ????? Did not see that coming (and neither did Saul or Kim).

pavulon 05-24-2022 08:54 AM

Some analyses of this series are pretty remarkable. I like how so many omnipresent yet seemingly trivial things have been given life as well as the psychoanalysis of the characters.

It's a little reminiscent of Ozark in that regard. Ouch !
