I have mixed feelings.
It does seem annoying slow.
Watch the whole episode and nothing really happens.
But can't wait to see the next one!

Right there with you...and also still watching! By and large I prefer it when Mike's story is featured. I think "Better call Mike" would have been more fun !

I'm surprised at how little interaction there is between Mike and Jimmy so far. I guess that way they can have separate story lines.

I agree Mike is more interesting so far but I think Jimmy's story is good too, especially his interactions with his brother and Kim. Makes you wonder what happens with Kim since she is MIA in Breaking Bad

Both Mike and Jimmy have interesting stories being developed so lots of things can happen between now and the rise of Saul and Gus. It's going to be an interesting ride. What happened to Kim is the big ?? in my mind.

One thing they can't get around when doing prequels however, Mike definitely looks a lot older now than he did first appearing on Breaking Bad..

Only one season on Netflix. Any other way to season the later ones?

Deschodt 04-11-2016 09:47 AM

>Only one season on Netflix. Any other way to season the later ones?

guessing Itunes...

On the plus side, it's less slow than "the Floating dead". My goodness that show moves slower than a glacier.

patz 04-11-2016 09:49 AM

I'm cheap, no TV and iTunes sucks. I'll wait for Neflix. %^)

Don't feel bad, we are still waiting for something to happen (and we're watching). But oddly it's well filmed and written and developed so it's bearable... Much in the same vein of BB - I started rewatching BB and honestly I get bored now, between the good bits...

They are available on the AMC website. I think they stay up for a month.

red-beard 04-11-2016 10:17 AM

Episodes 205-208 are available

Jimmy has an office in Scottsdale next to Don & Charlie's.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1460412903.jpg

MBAtarga 04-12-2016 05:47 AM

Last night was great. Seems Mike regrets his "retribution" act a bit, after finding out the real outcome.

Baz 04-12-2016 10:47 AM

Yes....excellent episode last night. Maybe the best so far. So full of win!

How awesome is Kim Wexler? From the dressing down she gave Chuck to the shoulder punches she gave Jimmy....and then when they were in bed that night she says to Jimmy...."Boy your brother hates to lose....and someone like him....he would turn over every stone to get to you..."

I'm afraid that fall may have been the end to Chuck.....and that is how Jimmy becomes Saul.....we'll see.....

Rupert Holmes.....oh man.......good stuff!

Otter74 04-12-2016 11:42 AM

I love this show. I love it for all the reasons that I loved Breaking Bad, and it's got all the same qualities. I love the slow, deliberate pacing. I love the exquisite care given to shots, the lighting, and so on.

I love the character of Kim Wexler, and now I've got a major crush on the actress, too.

sand_man 04-12-2016 12:23 PM

The show is a masterpiece and I love it dearly!!!! I can watch the same episodes over and over!

Ziggythecat 04-12-2016 12:23 PM

Something is going to happen to Kim.
Mike, Hector and his nephews make it to BB, when Jimmy is Saul Goodman( everyone wants a Jewish lawyer)…but not Kim.
I hope she at least makes it to next season.

Laneco 04-12-2016 01:01 PM

I agree, Kim's days are numbered. Whether by illness, accident, or "accident," she will die. When her ticket is punched...I predict it is the last straw that turns Jimmy into Saul. By the time it happens, she is the last thing standing between Jimmy and "Saul."

Hope they put it off for a while though because she is a terrific character.

angela

Baz 04-12-2016 01:05 PM

You guys are nuts....Kim isn't going to die....sheesh.

Just because she doesn't make it to BB..........doesn't mean she dies.

My guess......Chuck dies from his head wound and Jimmy can't stay with Kim because his head is too messed up with guilt...so he heads out for a fresh start...to try and forget the past.

stomachmonkey 04-12-2016 01:15 PM

I think Chuck dies.

Kim realizes that being around Jimmy and "his way" is just no bueno for her future and walks out on him.

This.

MikeSid 04-12-2016 01:40 PM

Agreed.

But... one of the things that made Breaking Bad so great was that the events were so unpredictable. Kim getting fed up with Slippin' Jimmy almost seems too telegraphed. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Gilligan has something more shocking in mind. I don't think she necessarily dies and even I could write her character out of this script. But I don't think a writer with Gilligan's chops has it in him to simply move on from her character without something more gripping happening. It's a golden opportunity and I don't see him wasting it.

Perhaps Kim turns a blind eye for a while, and the law partnership between her and Jimmy gets too shady, arouses suspicion and they both get disbarred. She leaves the practice of law (and Jimmy). And Jimmy become Saul in order to continue practicing under a new identity.

Thought about Jimmy getting disbarred and using Saul as an alias but there is a problem with that story arc.

It would only work if Jimmy moved.

He's already known in the local courts.

Ziggythecat 04-12-2016 04:40 PM

In BB, Saul told someone , casually, that he used to be Jimmy McGill, but changed his name to Saul Goodman to pretend to be a Jewish lawyer, as they are more in demand.

As an aside...Mad Dogs on Amazon is worth checking out, if you are a fan of WTF just happened TV drama.

tabs 04-12-2016 04:49 PM

It is all good man.

Chuckie turns into a carrot a stalk of celery or a tomatoe.

Kim dont croak but somehow they splitsville.

Hector has a stroke...brought on by Mikey.

URY914 04-12-2016 05:15 PM

Just watched this weeks episode. It is getting good.

What is up with Jimmy's brother, is he allergic to light?

Ziggythecat 04-12-2016 05:19 PM

Going to be hard for Hector to have that stroke now.
Remember the scene with Hector peeing in his bosses pool in BB, when Gustavo and his soon to be dead partner come to the meeting to try and sell their wares to the cartel.
Hector was muy macho...no stroke victim then.

He's allergic to electricity , radio waves, or anything with a battery.....or so he thinks.

That was a flashback scene and not really established how far back so as far as we know it's already happened.

In other words he a fruitcake that is full of nutz.

ramonesfreak 04-13-2016 05:16 AM

I remember hector looking pretty young in that scene compared to in Saul

More telling perhaps would be to go back and look at the cars parked in the driveway. I don't remember exactly what they were

Yup, I was starting to get bored and they pulled that episode, and now you enjoy it because you care about the characters, after all the buildup. Just like BB, really... Well played !

Thinking the 911 call from the copy store will create more $$ problems for Jimmy via the photocopy clerk...
Was that Mike's car hidden behind the sign that the driver saw before getting tied up ? I wondered if it was his or a "loaner" but could not tell... could be bad for Mike.

I think a copy of one of the docs from chucks will show up.

Likely from the copier place.

In the scenes for next week Howard has a document in his hands while on the phone asking Jimmy if he had something to do with it.

Mike did not use his own car, he's too smart for that.

Agreed, but they made a point of showing it as the last thing the guy saw... I can't recall
what car that was... Either way it's moot as the other guy knows.... something will come back to mike !
Show's getting good!!!

madmmac 04-13-2016 11:10 AM

Mike shoots Hector but it only cripples him.

MBAtarga 04-20-2016 08:14 AM

I'm disappointed with the season ending episode. Didn't really offer any big surprises or cliffhangers. I was expecting Mike to follow through with his "execution" plan (pun intended!) Nothing substantial on the Jimmy/Kim front either...

Gotta wonder who left the note.

Was it Gus?

This will shed very little light..and keep us coming back for season 3

Some of u boyz have attention spans of Tse flies. You need action to keep your attention or you lose interest and fall asleep. is it the conditioning of dumbing down content by the media over the decades or is it your own innate lack of intellectual capacity?

The cliff hanger is that Chuck has Jimmy on tape, and who left the note for Mike? The hole of plusability that begs credibility is how did Gus get on to Mike and his plan? In this series small things add up that move the plot along. Maybe one can call it minimalism.
