No trophy fishing here, just native brookies. Across the road a couple hundred feet to the stream. There are a couple dozen of these water falls within walking distance. Never stocked and rarely anyone ever fishing it. They never get much more than 14 inches but just gut and cook whole in a frying pan or smoke a few at a time.

Season opens in a couple of weeks and hopefully not too much rain.

Terry

Looks yummy! I love to catch big fish, but some of the best times I ever had fishing were for Cutthroats with a hand line when I was camping as a kid in Montana.

And Guess What!!!

WE WON!!! Here is the team with our Happy Gilmore check. Jason has the beard, his son is the little one, and I'm the handsome devil!

Splitting it between the grownups, it's not a bad paycheck for a weekends "work."

I'm going to blow some of it on guitar stuff and a nice dinner out. Most of it will be going into my IRA. I'd rather retire early enough to enjoy it if I can!

Great day crabbing.

Ended up with 3 dz and only had to measure 3 or 4 of them. All were full of meat and tasted great.

Did a charity event today with Jason and his orange salmon killing mosheen AKA "The Sassy Lassie."

It's an annual derby/event called Salmon for Soldiers.

https://www.salmonforsoldiers.com/

This is our third year, and we put on a show! We limited the boat, so our guests got to take home eight coho salmon and we got a little "best crew" trophy for catching the most salmon!

Good day fishing!
