Heel n toe......

That's actually our laundry room..... and the Mrs wanted a sink and counter space and cabinets so ya... it's kinda like we have 2.....

Thanks for reminding me..... I remodeled the laundry room too.

New tile floor, built a closet for the waterheater, new doors, new cabinets, sink, faucet and fixtures......

If it was up to me, we have a good steady line, two steady poles and some sun as our laundryroom. Hahahaha

You did all that yourself in 1.5 months!?

I've been slaving away around work hours, outside chasing an 18 month old, dealing with prego wife and everything else life has to offer.

The only things on your list that we didn't do were:

-Driveway: but can be replaced with Patio and R/R of overgrown beds surrounding house, replant about 30% of lawn

-Crown around house

-Popcorn Ceilings: But can be replaced with 400+hrs we (usually a team of 4) had in wallpaper removal

Last couple pending items:
-New Hall Bath Vanity delivered today
-Must order French Door for new Patio access
-Touch up some trim throughout

The Saucy Wish-List:
-Bro-Space (I refuse to say "man cave") needs a redeux
-Garage...needs 100% makeover as the sheetrock is falling off the ceiling, there is 1 light bulb lighting the entire garage and 1 outlet, could also use another bay

All in all. It's been an amazing experience.

Thread to follow post hall bath redeux

Pretty sad to read you did all this stuff and forgot about the garage ... All I did recently is remodel the garage.

My house has been completely redone by the previous owner and even 20 years later it looks great. All I ever did inside his floors and doors. I like my popcorn ceiling!

911Saucy,

oops.... i think there was a bit of a miscommunication... yes all that work has been done in 1.5 months, BUT i cannot take the credit for the work that was done.

i have a super talented contractor that did the remodel.

I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE MAN.

i would be lying through every tooth in my mouth if i said i did it.

he has a crew of 2 guys and they have been working day in and day out to get the work done.

i am ALSO chasing around a 15month old.

wife isnt preggo yet, BUT hopefully soon.

my garage is the same as yours.... small little light.... but i told my wife AFTER the house is done, THEN i get to do what I WANT TO DO TO THE GARAGE! most of the time we men have to put ourselves last, and im ok with that 100%.

i hope to get some kind of modified Jack Olsen garage designed.

ASLO 911Saucy..... i see you have been through what i have been going through in a worse way than mine. im just cutting checks.... YOUR DOING IT YOURSELF... Kudos to you brother. i feel ba for complaining... i have nothing to complain about. you are the man!

but i can also feel your pain, instead of you feeling mine!

Aigel,

Agreed!.... its on my radar and ill get that done sir!

Vash,

i hear what your saying... BUT after all that has gone down.... THAT KITCHEN WILL BE USED DONE TO THE LAST CRACK! i want good home cooked meals dammit!

I'm lucky in that my wife loves to cook, and i love to eat her cooking!

i assure you, our kitchen will NOT end up being an accessory!

and thank you for the kind words!

Beautiful!
I love it. Well done.
It is always nice to see when people tackle jobs that can at first seem to be a monster
assignment and they do it. Congrats.

Use it as much as you can. That's why you did the remodel. Nice job.

Oh... Don't forget the garage in the future unless it is already finished.

Nice transition, well done. I have been remodeling my house since 2008, the kitchen is the only big project left. Since we purchased it we have done a new roof, new Andersen windows, added a 3rd car garage, finished the basement, remodeled the other two floors completely, put a roof over the back deck, totally re-landscaped, restored the crappy yard, and probably a lot more that i am trying to forget. We have changed everything down to the doors, and I've done the bulk of it. This is our second house that we've totally remodeled while living in it, we are going to stay put because I don't want to do it again.

Sounds like the 4th car spot should be next.
