TV coverage of the World Endurance Championship
Porsche back on TV...
TV coverage of the World Endurance Championship will increase significantly in 2015 as top US broadcaster FOX will transmit all of this season's races live. The WEC will thus receive more live TV coverage than any other FIA-sanctioned championship in the USA and Canada. FOX will broadcast all rounds of the WEC live in 2015 on its satellite, cable and online platforms, with the US broadcaster also showing the 52-minute highlights show after each event. Full story.... That does it for sure. Done with the F1 joke. Will be watching WEC. It is on FS1 Sunday 7am to 1 pm eastern time. F1 joke is 1:30 am to 4 am. Think I'll sleep in then watch the 919's and some real racing. Go Porsche!

Watching it now. The lead Porsche with Webber driving had lapped the slower cars TWICE in the first 18 laps!

Pretty amazing action happening. The Porsche and Audi are dicing it out with very different configurations shinning at different parts of the track making for frequent passes.
The speed deferential between the classes is striking. And surly a challenge for all the drivers. Must be hard to drive at the limit with your eyes glued to the mirrors. Porsche is fighting reliability issues. This series has attracted top tier driving talent and it shows, WOW. CHEERS Richard |

The grip that the LMP1 cars have seems to make the entire track available. Kind of redefines "the line"
Cool seeing Audi have some competition at the front. Hope the remaining Porsche can last to the end. Furious pace for an endurance race! |

Update with just under 90 minutes left......
Leaders are: 1) #7 Audi 2) #1 Toyota - 34 seconds back 3) #18 Porsche - 75 seconds back The #17 Porsche went out earlier with gearbox issues It's going to be hard for the #18 to get back in the lead but we'll have to see what happens - still plenty of time left and anything can happen

The problem is he not only evaded the Aston he passed him too while 'out of bounds'.

Thanks Scott - that's what I meant to say.
I spoke too soon....Audi wins! Porsche in second and Toyota in third. Very cool to see Porsche in P1 again - even though they didn't get first - they were in the hunt! Those drivers are VERY good!

I think this is going to be a good series to keep an eye on this year.
That track sure is fast.
