That's going to be a pretty big project. What is the plan for it? Are you buying it because you want a longhood? Or do you want to preserve its 80s poser updates.
![]() If you are scared of stuck throttle bodies, it may be a good idea to re-think the project. There will be a LOT more to do to get it on the road and make it nice than that. My main worry would not be mechanicals rather than the body (rust, WB conversion). No Porsche project is a good financial decision. Even if someone gave you that car, you'd still be able to sink more money into it than the car is worth when you are done. As long as you are aware of that and enjoy the journey, I'd say go for it. My start into the hobby would have been a higher mileage / rough around the edges SC. Welcome to the forum and good luck! G |

I would recommend that you repost this in the 911 technical forum.
It's all a matter of your desire to gamble. If it fires right up with some fresh gas and tinkering, then you are ok. If it needs an engine rebuild then you will be forever upside down. I've seen 911Ts in the mid to high $20k range, especially if they need work. With the "updates" on this one it will never be a collectible car.
