I got it up to 120 coming out of the carousel turn at Sears Point, then had to slam on the brakes for a hard right turn. Some of you may have been there. It was the only place I could steel at quick look at the speedo. That was a fun day.

I've taken both my 930 Slant and 951 up to 140 mph a few times, but I very rarely go faster than that. However, I once got my 930 Slant up to 150 mph in 4th gear. I hadn't made it to 5th gear yet and the speed was still climbing without any hesitation, but I had to slow down because I ran out of room up ahead.

I've topped out every car I've owned, but have yet to do so with my 930 Slant and 951

I've had my '75 Corvette in 4th gear at 6500 rpm. The math said 165. I've had enough cars with speedos registering 130+ this was a whole different level of speed.

How much faster? Faster than 150ish?
The fastest I've been was on a '88 Yamaha FZR1000 & a Ducati 996S.

The turbo goes to 140 pretty easily and I'm pretty sure would clear 170 based on gearing and available power. I haven't (and probably won't) try it. It sticks well at 130-140 but I get too paranoid.

I've had a motorcycle over 140 and that's just damn scary.

You got that right...bike has to have a good frame & suspension to feel safe at speed.

I had my 73 up to 140 going slightly downhill on the german autobahn, scarry stuff as the front gets very light. Did the same speed with the C4S and although it would have easily gone faster, the less than perfect roadsurface made it not very enjoyable as the suspension seems too firm to soak up the bumps. Driving the same speeds with my 530xd is childs play in comparison.

140 in the Caddy - yep, the Caddy (Northstars are really de-tuned racing engines, tune 'em and chip 'em and change out the cam - they rock) and I had speed to spare, but only because I was about a mile behind some guy who earlier whipped around me in a bright green GT2 like I was standing still (I was doing about 110 at that point). Old US64 - upper New Mexico.

In a 1969 911E on a no speed limit section of NV375. Down on power a bit at approx 7000ft. I lost a bit of focus and about 10mph when talking the photo.

Many years ago in a 1972 911T Targa with a fresh 2.7 MFI RS spec I was stopped for speeding at 3:00am on a deserted highway. Radar had me at 143mph. The officer turned out to be a nice guy.

Have you guys seen the Youtube sensation "GhostRider" who has a 499 HP Turbo Hyabusa ? He likes to circle large cities on the outerbelt doing 180-200 mph although the speedo reads in KM, I think he hit 320 KPH. Crazy mad skills and stupidity, or maybe just a death wish.

The scariest high speed drive I ever did was flat out going down a long hill in my 36 HP 1960 VW bug. I got it up to 70 and that was flying. Fortunately I was 16 and invulnerable. On level ground it would only do 60 with a tail wind.

Who the hell looks down at those speeds!

200 kmh is 126 mph?

I've had the 86 to about 240 km/h and the 996TT to at least that before realizing nothing good will come from this and let off.

At 190 my butt would be sucking the padding outa the seat, methinks.
.
160+ on '88 Yamaha FZR1000 at the track...that was pretty much my limit as far as nerve.
140+ on a deserted two lane public road...long sweeper on the Ducati 996S.
No interest in going faster...but it was available.
A few blind driveways kept me "sane". Ouch!

Really.
The microsecond it takes seems like too long at speed on a bike.

On NV375 we were running those speeds for 30-40 min. You actually get comfortable and there are no poles or trees to create speed references.

I was amazed how quickly the needle went past 165 mph in the 993 (stock).

The factory spec is 171 mph, but this one has the Aero Kit so it should be a lot slower.

I think these things have more speed in them than what the factory says.

Haha yes, time slows down at that speed, but cars come up quick.
