One other thing I forgot to mention. If for some reason the modem quits working. You are billed for the equipment and a guy to come out and replace it. Of course you can buy the modem up front. Not much difference.

I still have a "high end" Hughes Sat Receiver if anyone wants it as a spare............or it would give me more internal peace and happiness to use it as a Shotgun target.
I know Dishnetwork offers internet over their TV signal if you have their dish system.

I have been A hughesnet customer for over 12 years; where I live there are no other options. It was horrible until about 2 years ago. The upgrade to generation four satellite and equipment allows streaming. We kept hitting the data cap and upgraded to the top package $80 per month. No real complaints since. I stream music or video most of the day no problem.
