I saw an apparition once. Beautiful girl with a long, whispy sort of gauzy translucent white dress. She floated right over and twisted my arm until I cried out in pain. Then I became conscious face down on the front porch of the dusty old house I was renting in college and soon discovered my arm was all akimbo exactly as it was when I had fallen on it right after the beer ran out.

This ties into the "let's make money thread." Suppose I charge $$$ to go into a house. In front of the owners I do some voodoo stuff, then tell the owners to leave. Over the next couple of days, I install water hammer arresters, redo faulty wiring, spray a crapload of "great stuff" into all the walls/floors. I drill about 1000 self tapping screws into everything to tie all the walls/floors/ joist together. Then I spackle everything over. Maybe even true up some loose doors and stuff. For effect, I stick some dry ice in a box and walk out like this.... Would I be statistically any less effective than any 'real' exorcist? Makes me curious.

How many people have lived and died on this earth? That would be a lot of ghosts hanging around and I've never seen one. It's a fun topic if nothing else, and like UFOs, there's been just enough strange incidents over the years to make people wonder "what if". I had one that really made me think twice when my grandfather passed away ten years ago, but I'm sure somewhere somehow there's an explanation.

I've never seen or seen any evidence of anything, so put me in the skeptic camp.

 E Detectors?

What all sorts of signals or freq can trigger those E detectors? I bought one to play with and its kind of creepy. I left it at my buddys house for two weeks. not a sound out of it. The house is a new build. I took it to one of my rentals where I know for a fact someone passed and it went ape chit Last edited by Rednine11; 09-29-2015 at 10:17 AM..

Ghosts, what are your thoughts? Hmm. Are you asking the ghosts here what they're thinking?

It is because you thinking is stuck within the four walls of the box and you can not see beyond your own nose. I am not saying there are or aren't only that there are possibilities beyond our imagination.

I have also had cats my whole life... I don't get too freaked out when they react to things I can't see...as P-O-P says their eyesight is much different than ours (I have at times pulled out a ladder only to find an infinitesimal gnat on the ceiling they were staring at). Add to that their hearing... I have seen video of a bobcat chasing a mouse that is tunneling under over a foot of snow.

Amazingly it took 17 posts about ghosts before somebody tied UFO's in. Not so amazingly it was Lubey. Ghosts are just stooped. I have, however, seen a UFO. I was in love at the time so it may have been a pair of panties.

My Great Grandmother owned a house in Port Townsend, WA that was a hospital in WWII. Dark rooms, surgery, the whole works... 415 Harrison Street was built in 1871. I spent quite a few of my kid years there with my great Grandmother, and I can say.. yes, yes indeedy. We've seen and heard things there. Like the crying babies... The house was sold in 1998 to a couple who had planned on restoring it to it's original form, or much like it. A couple months ago, my GF and I went to PT. We drove by, and I decided to stop because the couple was outside. They were very happy to see us, too.. told us that MANY of the people who had a connection with the house had been by... like the last nurse when it was a hospital, her daughter took her there for Mother's Day a few years ago... The house has a helluva history. I was suprised to see some of my great Grams old furniture there, too.. like the old wind organ. After a while of talking to the couple and being shown some of the renovations, I asked about the "goings on" in the house. They didn't want to talk about it. When I called my aunt later that day to tell her we'd been there, the first thing she asked was if they said anything about the crying babies.

I think that it is interesting that people who are totally closed minded to the existence of God are very open minded to ghosts and other theories about the paranormal.

I think what it is, at least for me, I don't necessarily NOT believe in "God" rather I don't believe in the God as he / she / it is portrayed in any of the big / popular texts. The other thing is people who are open minded about ghosts and the paranormal in general feel that way based on a personal experience, something more tangible than being asked to believe just on word of mouth and pure faith.
