McCartney 2015 tour

We just saw him Tuesday night in Columbus - holy crap, by far the best concert I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of shows.

He played for over 3 hours, more than 40 songs from early Beatles to his newest album, and he really knows how to connect with the audience. And the dude is over 70!

"Live and Let Die" was perhaps the best live song I've ever seen - the pyrotechnics were awesome and a total surprise since no other song had them.

Anyone else seen him on this tour?

Disclaimer - I'm a big 60's and 70's classic rock fan and really like the Beatles among other groups from the period.

I saw him back in 2012, and I agree with your assessment.

As an added bonus, you should watch his interview on Howard Stern. He told a lot of good stories, but also led on that he has many, MANY more that probably won't be told.
The most interesting part was he cleared up a bunch of myth's about the Beatles, especially things like Yoko. The way the media plays it, she is the devil who broke up the Beatles and caused all this infighting, but in reality, it was much different and mostly not true.

My wife and I saw him in Atlanta early this year it's amazing how this guy still rocks ! And I agree 100 % he has a way of connecting with the audience. I think he comes across as genuine and just enjoys what he does. Keep rockin Paul !!!!

Yea, not bad for someone that was supposed to have been killed back in 1966.

7 completely legit signs that Paul McCartney died in 1966 and was replaced by a look-alike - Mirror Online

His drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr., is awesome. He's toured with Clapton and Sting, and has been McCartneys drummer (and singer) for some time. Abe's dad is a legendary session bass player, having done over 4K recordings. Abe Jr. started playing drums early and got to sit next to Steve Gadd, Jeff Pocaro, Vinnie Coliauta, etc as a kid and learn from them.

While the band was a whole greater than the sum of its parts, and critics love to list Lennon as the most important factor, I think Paul was the strongest song writer and can write as good a pop song as anyone that ever lived.
