Dear lord....I have a 'job'

For the past 7 years, I have avoided any form of work requiring me to go to an office. Sadly, my days of freedom are coming to an end. I've been doing indy web development work, and I got an offer I couldn't refuse from a bank. To sweet to pass up. Time to stock up on dockers, I am soon to be a cubicle rat.

Pros and cons: Steady paycheque vs having to show up (not in your underwear) each day.
Remember, if you win the rat race, you're still a rat.

Seriously, a couple of my nephews work for banks in Toronto and are raking in more money than I'll ever see. On the other hand, they have to be in Toronto.

I just retired from the rat race, now I'm working harder than when I had a job! Raking leaves, lousy black walnut tree loaded this year, nuts everywhere. I hate that f*#%ing tree. So see, being a cube rat has its advantages. You only have to do this other awful stuff when you get home...have fun, and thanks for working to pay for my Social Security!!

I go to work 5 days a week and like it. No cubicle for me but I sit at a computer or two most if the day. My former boss took in his words "early retirement" at age 92. I figure I will retire at 90 to beat that.
