That's sad to hear. One of my favorite actors. Wife and I watch Love Actually every Christmas Eve, he's great in that like all he's in.

69... Way too young and Cancer again.

I remember being told in the late 70s that we'd find a cure for cancer within 10 years.

RIP Mr Rickman

Yea, he was a good bad guy. Part of the reason really really BAD guys have to have a British accent.

I remember the first impression he made on me was in Robin Hood.

Kevin Costner seemed to be single handedly trying to torpedo that movie, Rickman totally stole the spotlight and made it watchable.

Such a remarkable actor. By all accounts, a good person too. He was with his partner/wife since 1965.

One of my favorite Alan Rickman scenes from Dogma (NSFW):

Not always a bad guy. Also a romantic leading man, e.g. Sense And Sensibility with Emma Thompson. Lots of acclaimed stage work too. Comedy role in GalaxyQuest. What a broad, accomplished, fine actor.

This sucks, I always liked him, and like many Hans was my favorite role by him. Only Hugo Weaving's Agent Smith came close as a fun-to-watch bad guy, and only in the first film. I'll have to re-watch Die Hard today.
