Very nice stable, Von!

It's so gratifying to see such well- engineered German machines get the care they so deserve.

Bless you, sir.....

Also did not know what end of a screw driver to hold, so were not willing to put anymore $$ into it. No rust, Runs, but needs a tune up and the paint needs help. Price, only $1600! I just need to stop looking at Craig's list and I will be OK, at least that is what I am telling my wife!! (sorry for the crappy cell phone photos)

This is a score. I would drive that in a heartbeat.

Randy I am putting this one up for sale, as we just have too many cars. Email me if your interested in it. I have done a lot of work to it already, but needs a little more to be perfect. I have rebuilt both front and rear subframe's and replaced the timing chain.

Swapped out the rims from the wagon to the coupe and put the gold ones on the wagon, as the gold goes better with the green paint. Both rims are the same size, as are the tires. You can really see the difference with the wheel cap swap.

Well after all these years I am not getting any better! Picked up this ZERO rust 85' 300CD with only 138k mile on it yesterday off of Craig's list. Overall in very good condition, only needs a good cleaning and a little TLC to be 100%. Don't need it, but it was too cheap to pass up.

I love driving the wagon, as it rides so nice and the AC is ice cold. We drove it from NY to CO and back a few summers ago without a hitch and over 250k miles on it. I love the coupe for driving around town with its 5 speed transmission, but for the long hauls the wagon is hard to beat!

Matt, Paid $5500 for this one, as it is that clean being from CA it has ZERO rust and looks to be very clean. This is the last year of them and they only made 8100 total 300CD with the turbo and only 1291 in 1985. Which is considered to be the best year, as they made a bunch of changes to the drivetrain for 85'. I see good ones like this sell for over $15k-20k. I was at the right place at the right time on this one. Guy needed money and I had cash in hand, and know how to fix any of the little things it might need.

Well the sickness continues! used the mog today to drag home one of its older relatives! Picked up this 1968 230. Only has 47k miles on it and no motor in it. The car has been inside of the garage since 1987. Had the drag it up on the trailer with the truck's rear hydraulic winch. Tires on the car started to turn after dragging it about 10 feet.

I saw that car on Craigslist ! I was tempted, but I need to get the 71 440 Charger finished first. 2.5 years in and it is getting closer.

I love the chassis of these cars. Thirty five years ago the father of a friend had a 280 C that looked rather like your new find for sale and I took a test drive. Going around some corners up a steep grade I noted the speedometer was showing just over 50. "Hmm", I thought ,"This is slow. " then I realized I was thinking kmph but the car was reading in mph. If I recall correctly, the engine was a dohc 6 with a sizable carb.
Sweet. Maybe that is one of the reasons I am now driving an '07 C280.
Best
Les
