And so it begins the 914-6/904 project

For those that have been following on other boards, the project is really taking shape.

That's a very cool project. With all the kits out there, I've often wondered if it would work to build a 904 around a 914 chassis. I'll be watching this with great interest.

Automobile Atlanta had (has?) this project where it was a conversion kit that kept the majority of the 914 shell intact.
NOT a 904, but an interesting and pleasing (imho) different design

Sorry to stray off 904 topic a little more, but check out the Eagle GT . pretty convincing Dino rip off. Unfortunately the talented inventor /fabricator was quite the con artist duping more than a few investors in building a car or two, then disappearing with the molds to start again

My dad actually built an Eagle GT back in the 80s. It ended up at AA years later, and then years after that a guy was selling it a block away from my house.
It was a good build.

The guy (company) who built the Eagle GT frequents the 914world boards and still has the molds. Last I heard they were for sale.
IIRC the guy you were talking about was his partner and was the controlling shareholder first time around.
Or it could be he was a shareholder that got shafted and ended up with the company. Something like that....

I just found this while doing a search for 914 parts I plated and needed a description. What a great looking kit. It would definitely be worth chopping the windshield and targa bar down to match the proportions better.
