Sad that the world nowadays would even consider this.......they trespassed, absolutely no way they (parents) would win.

I'll take LSD for $1000 Alex!

Yeah, in my yoooth.
Now it's fried butter - not as fun and just as deadly.

Damn inflation :D. Never knew anyone who "died laughing" from it though...

Our stupidity was carried out in '74 Pintos, Jeep CJ5s, etc. and typically didn't involve alcohol either at 17. I was just starting to learn how to be stupid as a teen....college and hot coeds taught me well though

Just to clarify... I never did LSD, just figured based on the names...

Just to clarify...I did, as did a whole bunch of folks posting here back in the daze ;)

But I'd go back and relive those daze in a heartbeat....harmless fun that didn't endanger anyone else IMO. Would't even crack the Top 500 list of stupid chit I did in college though...

Yeah well we did it way too often. I seemed to have an angel on my shoulder every time. Fortunately none of us owned cars. Why I never fired up the dirt bike is attributed to the aforementioned angel.

Count me in on doing really stoooopid shyt in my teens too!

18 yrs old, April '79, final exams over......buddies and I head out to a local bar in Waterloo, Ontario where we alll get shytfaced (yes, driver included!). We're heading back home in my buddy's Chevy Nova, sharing a big ol' doobie on the way back. I'm in the back seat. We're heading down this four lane road at about 2am on a Tuesday with nobody around when, from the back seat, I suddenly notice a barricade about a hundred yards in front of us....the road is quickly ending and we're doing about 50!...I yell out "Garry the road's gonna end! Stop the car!!!" ..too late!..we plow through the barricade and the car rolls about three times before coming to a stop on it's side...luckily somehow we're all ok as we crawl out the side windows like we were emerging from a submarine. The Nova is a total wreck! The three of us all survived and....are still very much alive and well to this day!

I actually live about 10 minutes away from Canada Olympic Park and I've been down that Bobsleigh track a few times BUT I was in a four-man Bobsleigh, wearing a helmet and properly secured in...what a thrill! We reached about 110Km/hr! BUT I couldn't imagine what those kids did...heading down from the very top, in darkness, no helmet, on a plain sled, and probably head-first...unreal!

RIP and condolences to all families affected

Driving is one thing to be stoopid at, recklessness and the like. But, how about stupidness that resulted in what could be construed as criminal acts?

2porscheguy 02-10-2016 03:24 PM

^^^You talkin' to me?!? Are YOU TALKIN' to me!! Hey, you're TALKIN' TO ME!?!;)

I agree! What we did back in the day, would be considered criminal today! Thank god no one was injured and or killed by our actions! But, then again, it was the 70s....anything goes (and went) back then!
