Blue Hair

Hi. My name is Red. uh. And I'm a curmudgeon.

I think I knew I was a curmudgeon when I started to really care about how my lawn looked. I began to hate dogs and children who got near my precious grass.

And all of those youngsters wearing hip clothes. And nose rings. and tattoos. And now blue hair. What is it with blue hair? Is a blue hair guy, gay? Or Bi? or not into anything? Or into everything? Is it a phase?

I guess I'm a curmudgeon...

I don't love it, but it's just hair coloring. Someone's sense of style.

If they are hot enough, the hair color doesn't much matter.

Reading the title, I thought this thread was going to be about what you see when following a Buick sedan.

What blows my mind is when I was in high school everyone was pretty main stream, guys wore jeans or corduroy pants, some kind of nondescript button down shirt, and keds or converse sneakers. If you were wild you had long hair. My big rebel thing was to grow a mustache (we don't talk about the bell bottom years).

I do understand the multi-color hair and piercings are now the status quo so doesn't bother me much.

I thought this was going to be about the blue haired old ladies of days gone bye. I don't really pay attention to hair colors on young people. It all seems so random.

Come to Seattle, and you will see everything and so much of everything that you just ignore it after a while. Lots of kids, M & F wear blue, pink, green or ? hair, or have tats, piercings, bizarre clothes, goth or what ever. After awhile it just becomes background noise. The only people that unfortunately don’t fade into the background are the panhandlers.

Young girls with grey/silver dyed hair is what throws me off almost every time. If I see them from behind and they look half decent (just half) Ill think "Dang, that lady is in great shape for a grey hair". Then they turn around and Im like "Oh, just some yoot with colored hair."

People like to wear costumes. Hang out in the Orange County airport. Guys in their 70’s dressed like 25 year old rock stars, man buns, women with way too much “work” done, hair in any variety of loud colors...yes, men too, and support dogs. Lots of support dogs.

As long as the carpet matches the drapes. Unless of course we're talking hardwood floors....

The first time I went to a job interview in Seattle, I had just moved there from Wisconsin. I wore a tie. The owner of the company had a tattoo on his neck.
