It will be interesting to see what Stamkos does now as a UFA. I think it's pretty clear the Bolts are a good team without him. The Bolt might bolt to greener pastures. And the team may not care.

Droiun has made it clear that he is an elite player, Stamkos may be expendable. The new reality of the league. Younger, cheaper, faster.

No such thing as too much hockey.
To 1990C4S & Joe; I stand castigated or to a lesser degree, corrected for posting my off-hand remarks & for hitting the "submit reply" before reviewing same. Sorry guys - I need my "Hockey Man Card" back. :o
If this next series lives up to expectations - we're in for some high tempo exciting hockey. I am giving the edge to the Sharks (Thornton & Marleau are maybe due) but hell - I have an abysmal track record thus far in these playoffs. Here's hoping for a good series.

Cheers
JB

Yeah & OBTW - You're right - Drouin is a player

I didn't like the outcome. The better team won.

The Sharks are my new favorite team to root for.

Yup +1. Cindy must be made to weep.

Even though I secretly despise Cindy Crosby, there are other reasons I'd like to see the Sharks win (a team I could have cared less about until now):
-I'd love to see Joe Thornton win a cup. He's been loyal to the Sharks all those years and is a world class player (even if he wasn't such a great captain). Bonus points: he was a Bruin for 7 years.
-Pavelski has never hoisted the cup either.
-On a less purist note: Both of the above and Burns have some outstanding Cup beards.

Re: Jumbo Thornton's facial foliage - I don't think we'll see that disappear anytime soon with his selection to Canada's entry to the 'Worlds". He may require a trim job to avoid getting it tangled with his stick or in his skates.

Cheers
JB
