My future DIL cannot have something set on an odd number. I like to adjust the temp in the car to 71 just to watch her move it up or down a notch.

I show up at work five days a week...
I unload the dishwasher and help with the laundry... pretty sure that falls under "you should do that anyway"

I do that on the clear packing tape here at work. Whenever I pick up the tape gun I find myself scraping at the roll with my fingernail for five minutes to start it.

We, like most people I assume, don't wash our bath towels after each use, so when I dry myself after a shower, I dry my hair and head with the side of the towel that has a tag, and my body with the other side. Even though I should be clean, I don't want the part of the towel that dried my taint, touching my face.

Wasn't happy when I went to my step mother's house. Apparently she trims off the tags, so I had to search for any remaining trace of the tag.

I have CDO. It’s like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE.

Tip for people with OCD: the 'correct' number of times to flip a light switch on & off upon entering a room is 142. Hope this helps.

I just hate it when that happens.

If you did a proper OCD job of washing your taint it shouldn't matter

And keep it clean.

One of my other habits.

I practice a modified version of the Don King restroom usage regimen.

Allegedly one day George Forman and Don King are in the same bathroom. Don finishes, zips and starts to leave.

George says, "Aren't you gonna wash your hands?"

Don replies, "I wash my hands before I touch my dick."

Makes perfect sense to me so since forever I wash my hands twice, upon entering and upon leaving the bathroom.

Like another here:
When I'm shopping, I move items from the rear of the shelf to the front to replace the item that I took. Sometimes it spills over and I start fronting other items on the shelf.

And another:
I can't stand to have my TV volume on an odd number. Or my thermostat. Or my car radio.

Something different:
My sheets & covers must be perfectly straight when I go to bed at night. If they become tangled or out of place in the night, I get up and straighten them.

Exact opposite. Must be odd.
Everything else must be even.
Won't step on sidewalk cracks. If I do with my left foot, must balance out with my right.
Same with stepping on a rock, walking in a patch of shade, next to a building, etc...
Each foot must be even with the other.
I just feel 'off' until I balance out.
I adjust my stride to make sure all is balanced.
I know I am messed up, but now find comfort knowing most of you are too!!!

I'm not terribly OCD on much, but I don't like traveling on the same route as I left. When I got to work (the train station) I go on one road and come back on another. If I have a bunch of errands to run I make mental map of how I'm going to do it so I don't go to place A, turn around and go to place B, etc. It's a continuous circuit. Walking too. Especially at the office or at home, I have a plan. It's OK to make 3 trips to the basement. Sometimes, I find myself stressing out about it and have to laugh.

Girlfriend "You're really weird - washing your hands something like 50 times a day."

Me "Well, you're really lucky. Lucky to have a boyfriend with nice clean hands "

the screws aren't what makes me tic, but the outlets and switches must be straight on all sides, protruding proud about 1/16" above the plate evenly all the way around. That's a must or else I go nuts on my guys. This isn't even my house. They, no one, get to touch my cabinet and finish electrical or plumbing fixtures on my own house.

OMG, while I am not as bad, but knowing someone out there do this is a crack up. My wife is the only one who noticed. Not even my parents.

I am A LOT better now to the point I go almost unnoticed about the crack.

You know what I hated, a stress crack you stepped on with your left foot when not paying attention only notice it when done. There are no more for the right then, oh siht if I am out on my first date. Now WTF do you do?

Reading about all this is just too funny. Now are most of these freaky events superstition or just OCD on how the brain works?

Some mention tapping one's foot or certain discreet movement of the body, could this be a very mile case of Tourette Syndrome?
