Unless it's a restaurant with a reputation for tequila, I've taken to ordering whatever blanco they have, straight up…cold like a martini., with a zest of lime.

I like sipping the silvers. Unadulterated tequila flavor. It's gotta be good tho.

Casa Amigos is nice, but not worth double the price of some equally good resposados

+1 what Ziggy said...the Blanco & Reposado of Casamigos can't be beat for the price...even though it's a little pricey, they are definitely hitting out of their weight class. I love 'em. Can't recommend them enough.

Learned an important lesson when I was in college in Boston, 40 years ago, stay away from "Old Mister Boston Tequila".

My buddy Joe got me drinking Cazadores on a trip to Cali a few years ago. The guy in a liquor store in Red Rocks said the Pancho Villa was just as good as the Cazadores. No one would try it tho.....

That makes a great Marg. I use the same recipe, and yes it does go very well with croquet. However, the game does degrade a bit after several pitchers with friends.

I'm a Tequila guy. I drink it straight, no rocks, no training wheels. 100% Agave is the baseline, if that's not on the label it doesn't even make it into a Margarita. There are so many good tequilas out there, but this is a few of my favorites.

Don Julio Anejo is the one I buy when I just want to enjoy a good Tequila. I love all of the Don Julios $45+



My wife bought me a bottle of Don Julio Real when she told me that she was Pregnant. Unbelievably good, but the price makes it something that I probably wont buy again. $250+



Jose Cuevro Tradicional is a good bang for your buck Tequila, great Tequila for Margaritas. $20-25



Cazadores is another great Tequlia for the money, and the one that I drink the most. A little more than the Tradicional but worth it imo. $30 (Costco has it on sale offten, $22 for the 1 liter bottle)



My all time favorite Tequlia is Don Julio 1942. WOW! It's not cheap, but man is it good. It's about 1/3 the price of Don Julio Real but oh so much better than all the others I've had. Don't you dare put it on ice ior heaven forbid throw it in a Margarita! $120



Try the Nectar of Gods, and try it without the shot glass for a change.

My neighbor loves cazadores. One of my other neighbors said it maid him wet the bed. Lol. I like tequila but have never had th really good stuff. Need to try some of these.

When I first played in PPOT, I sent a bottle of don Julio 1942 to a London pelican guy. He paid and I put it in a box marked olive oil. Never heard from him again. Haha. He put up a drunken YouTube thank you I think. Adomakin was his name I think.

+1.... Don Julio's many years ago were my first sample of good tequila shots (after thinking Cuervo was the "good stuff") and I've had most mentioned on this thread. I now do occasional half shots of any good reposado at room temp and I'm good

Cuervo's Reserva De La Familia is some of the best I've ever had, but at 90-100 per bottle, that ain't often.

Yes, Have enjoyed it for years now, have about twenty different mid range bottles, two of my fave's are Jose Cuervo Reserva De Le Familia and Don Julio 1942.

So many different Tequila's and so little time. Hard to find good variety up here though.
