Reading the comments section I found this:

This guy was a ground control intercept controller and only "flew" a radar and a radio. His "eyes" were a search radar. If the spokesman was a fighter pilot, this story would have more credibility. His career is more suited to be an expert in "big picture" joint air operations, not air to air combat even if he knows the tactics. BTW- this AI might be good, however when you add in jamming, weather, and spoofing it might be a whole new ballgame.

A robot air force might be what we needed to keep China at bay in the Pacific, but the drones would still need a kill order.

Better not use any Chinese made chips in those units, just saying.

The guy could beat that computer easily. It's just that he just doesn't want to deal with the ramifications of actually getting up, and dumping his cup of coffee on the AI computer.
