Not at all, it's symbolic of the spoils of war and booty. It's why you will find a German howitzer in public park in the US. It's a trophy of our superiority.

Piling on is de rigueur here.

probably digging a bit deep here but I think it shows a lack of nationalism.

a subtle, seemingly inconsequential hint at what is wrong with our country.

beautiful car though.

I was a little taken aback by the comments but didn't want to PARF this up...
However...
America is a "melting pot" and made up of all nationalities.
The English are our allies and have fought and died along side our soldiers (however, yes, great irony driving an English car in the "Independence day parade" as in where we declared our Independence from England)

And of course no one had "Frankfurters" on the BBQ... right?
Or potato chips on the picnic table "The earliest known recipe for potato chips is in William Kitchiner's (Englishman) 1822 cookbook The Cook's Oracle, a bestseller in England and the United States"

Why is being proud of your country political?

Let us remember the spirit of what was done! This is more than just a day where we dig out our flags and offer empty platitudes.

USA USA USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!

EU and UN can lick our balls!!!!!

Show some real pride people! A lot of care and effort and blood went into giving us what we now enjoy. The system was bucked by men with sack!!! Don't let this holiday pass without understanding the contest (edit: meant to type 'context') in which this was done!

I was on call the 4th of July. Got a call about 1500, okay, yeah, I will come see him. 15 minutes later, another call, I already said I would come down, oh, another guy, ICU? Go down there, see those two, get back to the house and am just about to eat some corn on the cob, phone rings, guy stepped on a broken bottle at the river, went back after I finished eating.

Guy #1 was wearing his orange pajamas, cuffed to the gurney, gangbanger with two sheriff's deputies babysitting him. Worst ingrown toenail I ever saw, and I have been at this for a minute. Looked like he had three big toes on that foot, I should have taken a picture. That was quick.

Guy # 2 was a 69 yo diabetic who was delivering a car from Indiana to San Francisco, almost made it. Having chest pain a week, that got worse as he was pulling into Sacramento. Not amenable to fixing with a stent, but stable enough to wait on cracking his chest until the rotten foot gets cleaned up a bit. Imagine if you left a half a chicken in a plastic bag in the trunk of your car for the month of August, it smelled about like that. Not bad after cutting off the rotten part, did not look great the next day though. I guess maybe because his kidneys are in the process of abandoning ship. He looked a lot better after dialysis. Upgraded from call in a religious consult to wow that guy looks like crap.

Guy #3 was a young guy, stepped on a broken bottle before he had a chance to get too drunk. Sewed his toe back on with him laying on a gurney in his bathing suit. Nice kid, his friend was pretty funny, crashed his jet ski on July 3, got a bunch of stitches in his knee.

The most incredible thing was, they were all paying customers. First time I got three in a row that had insurance through the ER, let alone three in one day. Amazing.

Yesterday, I told them to pound sand on the crackhead I did for free 6 months ago. I don't care about the free or the crackhead part, but he is a bit of a dick.

Spoils of war are not unpatriotic.
