USA soccer team lost to Sweden this afternoon and are out of it now. I think they missed a lot of opportunities but ultimately when you are shooting penalty shots you cannot kick the ball over the net and expect to win......so there's that....regardless of any other aspects.

USA swimmers are racking up more medals - Katie Ledecky is simply amazing!

That was a Dutch rider and she survived. But when she went down - the Team USA rider behind her was left by herself to finish the race and in doing so was caught by the 3 person chase group which included another Dutch rider - who eventually won the gold.

The Games were on at the gym today and I saw the next candidate for the "REALLY?" award. Team Handball. Oh man how did this get to be an Olympic sport? I watched about 10 minutes.

USA's Gwen Jorgensen wins gold medal in women's triathlon at Rio Olympics

Jorgensen gave the United States its first gold in triathlon Saturday since it became in Olympic sport in 2000. The victory caps what has been arguably the most dominant stretch in triathlon history by Jorgensen, who has won all but two individual races since April 2014.

She set a record with 13 consecutive victories in the ITU’s World Triathlon Series from May 17, 2014 to April 3.
