Unfortunately people dump their cat off at the park where I work:

Just got some good news, this little guy/gal was adopted by one of the employees!

I dunno about everything but the info. I've gotten says it's either 30+ days or a pre-screening here with evidence of vaccinations and a certification from the vet which should (in theory) get it down to five days. If there's a way to get it shorter or waive it entirely I'd love to hear about it though!

Agree 100%. The ferrel cat issue is crazy on Maui. Bypassed a strip-mall parking lot by going around back last night. It was crazy the number if cats hanging out. It was like a weird movie. Like the ending scene in "the birds", but with cats. Lol

When we moved into our home years back, our local animal outreach allowed us to use their animal traps to catch a mom and kittens. We even caught the grumpy pissed-off Tom running around. A field trip later to the clinic, three spay and one neuter job later, all we re-released onto the property to hunt to their hearts content. The whole group was welcome to hang our and work on the rodent population.

Fast forward several years, one couch potato later, Onyx now hangs our inside. Living large

His/her body posture with the paw and kitty pie claw action looks like he/she has a cool personality. Glad to hear of the adoption.

Cheers

Mirror selfie with Karmann - she like to jump up on my shoulders - apparently that's our "thing." She turns 1 today

My co-worker that took this picture has video of this cat climbing in his lap and then on his shoulder.

Dodged a bullet on this one because my wife wants a black cat... but I am standing firm on my three cat maximum occupancy (plus on out door cat we feed ).

And no dogs until we get a fenced in yard or retire (I don't believe in leaving a dog locked in the house all day while we are at work.)

Random cat picture:

When we moved our two dogs back to Hawaii, we followed the protocol in the months prior to our move, and were able to clear both pets at the airport. No quarantine time. There was a time that ALL pets had to spend twelve weeks in quarantine.
