On sundays my 84 yr old aunt with alzheimer comes to my house to eat.
Real Conversation is difficult, but I put her in my recliner in front of the stove.. My cats already know her. My girl cat usually ends up a sleep at her feet.. close to the fire..she loves auntie because she's typilcally surrounded by dudes and welcomes the company of girl:D. All of the sudden the youngest one comes in from outside, jumps up and lays on the charm. Let me tell you, Shrapnel, he's good, absolute player. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1649001597.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1649001597.jpg Auntie always happy to have the kitties around, she's proud that they know her and like sitting with her. |

Yeah, She's been over for lunch on sundays, It's been close to 3 years now...
Couldn't stand the thought that she always had meals on wheels and was eating alone every day, especially on sundays. I'm single and I know how food don't taste as well if you eat alone all the time.. So I figured win win .. Cause I don't eat alone either when she's over here. It's terrible to see the disease progress, but the memories make up for it. And the kitties love her to bits |

It didn't take very long for this cat to rise to the top of the four legged hierarchy. I've witnessed her fighting (playing) with one of the dogs, on her back legs boxing with her fronts, then looking away to lick one paw while still boxing with the other. One dog really likes here the other could do without her. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1650050805.jpg |
I'm pleased it's worked out well with the kitten (now a cat-ette I guess), they seem to become family very well.
My two dogs love the cats. They even have sleeps together. |
Ceiling cat is watching you... rummage for tools at 3:00am like a tweaker so you can disassemble the house fan and extricate Grayson, who went on a little "adventure" when the insulation guys were working in the attic and left the trap door off. We hadn't seen him for hours, and thought he somehow got out, but he actually got *in*. I woke up to one of the other cats howling like crazy, and that's when I heard Grayson crying in the attic.
I couldn't grab him because he was freaked out and kept jumping out of the way, so I got a ladder and put an Amazon box on it; and within minutes he jumped down into the box on his own. My wife slept through the entire rescue operation - even when I fell off the ladder and made a huge crash. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1650135554.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1650135554.jpg |
