Coming of age?

I had the wife call the fire dept. as I was indisposed.
Being basically lazy, I just laid there.
3 nice fellas showed up with lights a flashing & picked my sorry ass up. The old bod was OK except for multiple abrasions....scrabbling around on the ground is hazardous and your dignity has already flown the coop.
Their response time was pretty damn good.

Is more of this crap to be expected?

What happened? Seizure of some sort? You doing okay now?

If it was tequila-induced then a different response is probably necessary.

I was hunkered down (squatting) & just did a "tommy tip-over" into the shrubs....not my first one. No contact with my head. I have noticed a dis-orientation upon contact with the ground. The confusion lasts for a few hours

Hmm, weird. That would be a little disturbing.

I assume you've been checked out and it's not a stroke or TIA? Something weird with your blood pressure dropping or something?

Well, whatever, glad you're OK and still posting.

Live that play on words in your total J P.
Hang in there brother, at least your wit and humor are intact.

One of the mysteries of aging, whats my body going to do next.
Keeps living interesting.

I hope those responders are friends. Funny comment otherwise.

Cheers Richard

So......you were pooping in the bushes, got dizzy and fell over into said bushes. Got it.

I am on Lisinoprol for high BP and sometimes get dizzy if I stand up too quickly. Not enough to worry about but it is there.

Were you having problems then squatted down or were you squatting down and then developed problems?

Just do what your doc says. As mentioned above bp meds can cause that standing up too quickly. I am not a med professional but a second opinion is a good thing if the first doc cannot help you.

Damn! Sorry to hear. Coming of age, indeed. Definitely in favor of the 2nd opinion thing...

Also, stay out of this damned heat!

I had what was called a "mini stroke" just about 3 years ago and it showed up due to dizziness and the inability to stand up okay and also not being able to walk in a straight line. I called 911 and woke up the wife to tell her and then went out front to wait. The responders got there in a minute or so since we live just up the street from a fire station.

By the time they got there I was having trouble speaking normally and once in the back of the ambulance the young lady said it looked like a stroke and they took me to the big stroke center in San Diego. Seems my BP was about 75 over 40 which seemed a bit low to me and I ended up staying for two weeks. A few months later a stress test showed all the arteries around the heart were 90% blocked so I had quad bypass surgery.

So my point is I hope you get an MRI, blood flow tests and all that stuff to see what might be wrong?

I had another stroke last Oct.
A big residual is a loss of balance......I've been falling down regular like. Generally I try to find a good place to do it. This last time was not a good spot for it. My general strength & conditioning keeps getting worse. I wonder how much longer I can continue to fight the good fight.
I turned 71 a couple weeks ago.

Hang in there, JP....listen to the MDs, get other opinions, try to choose the best path for you.

In other words, keep fighting!

As long as you can get out of bed, dress, poop and eat on your own.
