Tomorrow will be a month since this thing started, thot I'd throw in one more update.
It was Staphylococcus aureus, likely MRSA. Finner is still discolored, swelling is gone but when I accidentally bang it up agin' something hard, I realize it right away. But other than that it's all better:

Sammy, just be sure to AVOID bashing it against things. It will hurt a LOT less.
