Pretty sure backlog for SBR tax stamps just went from months to years with the old law changing in July. I think I read ATF got over 2 million applications in July alone and they were already taking months to approve an app back in the old days.

There are a lot of things I would own if I did not live here.

I bet that would go through body armor like butter.

The good ammo (banned from import) would. That is what it was designed for.

Of course, so would most hunting rifles with most hunting ammo...

Isn't that what that goat humping bastard that shot all those people on that base in San Antonio used? Something in a 5.7 as I recall.

He used the pistol version, also made by FN. I short Jordi's years ago and they are nice shooters, but I always thought they'd be too powerful for CCW. I saw a guy open carrying one in a grocery store here too. Just too much bullet for an urban, defensive purpose.

Even the normal stuff does OK for bullet resistant stuff.

Read an analysis of that shooting. The killer shot 13 people COM, three of those were soldiers charging at him, all 13 died and none successfully charged him. He shot a similar number of people in extremities, all were incapacitated by hits in arms and legs. That's from memory, I might have details wrong. Seems like an effective round.

A lot of people blow it off as a glorified .22 Magnum, which it is on paper but not in the real world.

I wouldn't use it for deer hunting, but anything smaller I would have no problems with. Easy to use in close quarters and a high capacity magazine for zombie/SHTF issues as well.

This doesn't make any sense to me. Look at some of the gel tests for 5.7 out of a pistol. It's a perfectly reasonable round for self defense.

Now, as for spending over $1k for a pistol with a plastic slide...I am definitely not down with that.

I have a love/hate relationship with the PS90. I love its ambidexterity and the 50 round mag. I love its compactness. I hate the crappy trigger. And I hate carbine/rifle platforms that are limited to calibers less than .264.

Fortunately I know an FN dealer, so I got the PS90, Five-Seven and my SCAR for less than retail.

The trigger on the PS90 is definitely not one of its strong points.

I have watched some of them - one where the round went clean through a kevlar helmet and the gelatin head inside it, through seven small phone books and several went clean through the entire gelatin slab. Sure, it's great for self-defense. I just wouldn't want anyone else anywhere near the backstop.

Maybe due to the design of the FA P90? Pull trigger for semi, pull trigger harder/more for FA.

Uh no. That's not how that works. You can easily lighten the DA/SA trigger pull on the pistols with a $3 spring. The lighter rifle triggers are a lot more expensive, but they grow on trees. I have a second interview with such manufacturer tomorrow morning.

I thought that FN had a version of this in .223. I can't find any evidence that one ever existed.

The FS2000 is wacky, too. It handles like...well, a plastic tuna. And the trigger is a whole 'nother level of suck.

I think FN stopped importing them to the US.

Again, I'm a lefty so I really appreciate the ambidexterity of the FN bullpups. But the controls are so universally horrid that I just stick with AR15s in various chamberings.

I think he is talking about the P90. When the selector is set to full auto you can pull the trigger half way and still fire semi-auto or pull it all the way for full auto.

I think the reason the trigger sucks is because it has to go through a push bar to get to the action from the trigger assembly to the action and there is some flex. The bullpups that pull rather than push are a little better in that regard.
