My best guess is landed cost here is $50 + purchase price each.

Both UPS and FedEx are outrageously expensive.

The Chinese get some type of crazy break on shipping to US via Post Office, yes? I ordered a complete motorcycle bodywork kit a few years ago. Showed up in a HUGE box, and it was something like $150 shipping.

Good to know, I asked Aaron Richard.

Tomorrow is the order day as it's the last day of a long holiday and my friend won't be able to get them after that.

OK I will take 2 Smalls, 1 Medium and 1 Large.

This should be 23 + 23 + 39 + 46 = $131

then prorate shipping to you at say $50. Then with 4 WOKs to me at $25 USPS or Fed ex ground as I estimate 4 Woks will weight apx 20 lbs. So I estimate about $180

Now how do I know the weight..I bought one of the WS 14's as insurance on Saturday, which I have 30 days to return. So it is 4 lbs. The big one is going to be really big...family size.

BTW the WS (Cen) one is really really nice, and you can tell it is handmade..Condider that WS is now saying Nov 4 for shipping, that means they sell out of them quick or do not have a large stock of them at any one time. ZOOO

Lets do it...this is once in a life time.

These are not crappy Woks, they are symmetrical and they are handmade. They do come covered in a light film of oil which will have to cleaned before seasoning...You can see why they are so highly touted.

Why use UPS? Use ChinaPost.

Didn't get it. Best to copy and paste. Everyone leaves out the dash/hyphen in tru-6.com. Guy who owns tru6.com is non-responsive.

what is the verdict on the shipping costs from China.

There in lies the rub.

China EMS

U.S.?
From an e-commerce perspective, what is the cheapest way to ship from the U.S. to China? Using USPS First Class International mail, it costs ~$11 to ship 1lb package and ~$33 to ship a 3lb package. However, there are some websites that say they use China EMS and only charge $7 for 3lb packages and $12.50 for 8lbs. Any idea of how this is possible or if there are alternative low-cost but dependable shipping carriers?

OK, I just put the order in for 12 woks for Ted, Richard, Peter, Craig, Don and myself.

Shipping hasn't been determined yet. But this is more about the adventure than $20 in shipping. I hope.
