Thought about just keeping the broadband portion of FIOS along with Grande for redundancy. The combined cost was approaching a dedicated IP at that point which was attractive as I could bring a bunch of offsite production stuff in house and save some sheckles. But then I need to invest in better long term backup power infrastructure and stock duplicate hardware or at least a stockpile of hard drives and PSU's. But I'm still back to one pipe which currently with FIOS is not reliable. I could just keep off site mirrors running in case of a dropped pipe or power but then why bother bringing anything in house which negates the need for dedicated IP so why even bother with redundant pipes. Sometimes the slippery slope gets you back to the top of the hill.

I was told my budget would get me 4 three legged gerbils, a wheel, and a weeks worth of food. No warranty whatsoever but they did say they would ship mating pairs which when you think about it was just as good.
