Go and look through your old posts

Ever done this? I was scanning my old posts (with the old user name) looking for something, and man it was weird. A real walk back through the good and the bad of the last several years. Job issues, family deaths, dogs getting put down, new exciting stuff. Didn't remember posting about some of the topics on here.

My takeaway is that this is a pretty amazing, bright, supportive, and funny as hell group.

You've been here 3 months. You should see some of mine going back 16 years! Weird is right!

Yes I do. My ability to proof read prior to hitting send was atrocious. It is still bad, but I tend to take the time to edit it within the window allowed.

I also, every time an election swings a different way, look back for consistency on individual poster's stances. Sometimes it easy to attach a position to some one that did not have that position, just because they are posting similar things to others.

I did the same about 10 years ago. Originally joined using my full real name. Decided that was pretty stupid and switched it. Been here since 2004 as I recall. Occasionally come across a very old post and agree, pretty weird reading your own words that you have no recollection of writing.

I have never gone back to find my old posts, but several times I have been reading resurrected threads and found myself formulating a reply only to find I had posted on that thread years ago.
I guess I'm pretty predictable.

I PMed one of our long-lost mods but then decided on a clean break. More interwebs anonymity I guess.
