I would assume so.
I still see truckers mysteriously slow down a few miles before a speed trap...

I've been seeing more 4 foot firestiks on (personal) trucks over the past year than I've seen in the 10 years before. It seems that CBs are back in vogue among the lifted pickup truck crowd. I assumed phones took over, but i guess not.

I have one in my FJ, I only put it in for long road trips. Yes truckers still use them and they are great for knowing where speed traps are setup.
Although Waze is great as long as you have a navigator that can look at it. Waze basically tells you the same as the CB will.

Yes - they still use CBs. Mostly 17 on north/south and mostly 19 on east/west.
A lot of highway troopers still have CBs on their cars. angela

I drove my dad to Redwood City to buy an old Dodge pugnose pickup. Getting it back to Fresno was a huge epic pain in the ass. I brought two "family band" radios - this was in the early days of those radios, and CB radios. The CBs were out of range pretty quickly in freeway traffic, so we switched to family band. Finally reached a truck stop for gas, and to take a dump. I was trying to find out where he parked and called "Dad, where are ya?" on the radio. Some trucker answers back "I'll be your Daddy". I turned that em effing radio off so fast, and hid it under the driver's seat, didn't get it back out until we were miles down the road again.

Not as much but yes.
The 4x4 crowd also uses them here.

There was a CB in my old 911 when I shipped it off to Istanbul...

I meant private usage. Trucks out on an off-road rally or cars out on a cruise, no need for CBs to keep in touch with the group. Yet, I'm seeing more and more CB antennas on private recreational trucks, which means they are going back to CB bands and away from cell phones.
