my theory is that dark matter and dark energy (which physicists can't explain) are in fact the souls of those departed across the universe

It is kinda like disproving Unicorns and Bigfoot. Cox just uses a lot of science to prove ghosts can't exist according to the laws of physics.

No - Scientists are gals and dudes using money from public (DOE, PG&E PUC) and some private funding sources (not many) to come up with theories to keep their jobs.
