There is a pretty good movie with similar theme, based on Columbia/ Mexico contests.
Mickey Rouke shows up near the end of the film. Blunt Force Trauma https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3520290/

what I loved about Razor Girl, besides the fact she bumps cars for insurance with her MO being she is shaving her you know what when she hits the car, that he has a rift on Duck Dynasty that is spot on with one of the main characters

"Not in Florida"
That's funny because that's the normal assumptions these days

They must have both been Florida natives that moved recently.

To be charged with anything, wouldn't they have to be the ones pressing charges on one another? Can the authorities press charges if neither one of them want to press them?
Stupid stunt for sure, but on a serious note, aren't the authorities somewhat overstepping their authority?

My brother is a retired detective in OKC.
He was shot in the vest once and said it was like getting hit with a baseball bat. Almost a rib breaking experience. It wasn't with a .22 though...

The best thing these two budding Einsteins could have dome was just STFU from the get go. Too late now. Even if they get off the hook, they are going to spend all of their beer money for the next several years doing so.

I kind of think it is a waste of taxpayer money to prosecute these guys. They both agreed to shooting each other, they are both in a lot of pain. Why punish taxpayers for their stupidity when they've punished each other.
