When you travel to PA in your rig if you take I-40 through Nashville let me know and I'll buy you lunch.

congrats on the change hugh. I hope it proves to be a great move for you and your family. I hope the new space will seem ample and that you have time to play with cool cars in your spare time.

p.s. ...it I lose the bet we will try to meet in LA or...a cheese steak or two might be worthy? I hear philly has some experience in producing a decent sandwich

cheers to your good health and fortune hugh.

100 degree heat ? You are smart to call a guy in.
You are almost out of there, no need to push things. I'll bet you have plenty on your plate anyway, with the move.
Steady on wins the day.

Yard work and home repairs?

I never wanted to be divorced but there were lots of days that I wanted to quit!

I don't work there anymore...

The Summit ? across from COC - must be the Stratfords ?
The arroyo behind you is a wonderful place for an early AM walk, these days. I'll wave...
Don't speed with your P-car, outside those gates sits one motor cops' favorite post-up for folks buzzing up the hill on their way to work. It's lazer and the guy is fanatical (and I've got law enforcement in my family).
Too bad to lose you in 6mo - 1. Don't blame you for leaving Cali - we're nuts and they have a super majority in Sacramento. Not gonna get better anytime soon.
I just retired too - in June. So far, so good.

+1
I agree with Baz on this. It is very disheartening to hear at our condo AGM(where we have a rented out condo in Edmonton) these words: "I wish we had not sold our house".
Keeping in touch with with nature via our garden is very important for our soul. As my fil used to say "living in a high rise condo is like living like a bird in a cage".

53 when I sold the Aston Martin DB4 for stupid money. I liked working on cars with only points, plugs, etc. I enjoyed working on the 84-911 Targa until I sold it a year ago. But I was spending stupid money to get it SMOGed here in California. The DME stuff I couldn't figure out. The Targa was nice, but the A/C sucked and the Toyota Camry just runs and runs with great A/C and a JBL stereo. My days of crawling under a car are over. I'm almost 64 years old. Not saying I can't do it, I just don't want to.

$150 to get two guys to fix the sprinklers, digging up schit in 101 degree temps for an hour, or so. I used to do that stuff, not anymore.

Baz, the townhouse that I'm buying has 16.5 acres of CA wild lands and a few hundred other acres behind it. I can't do anything with it, but its mine.

Now I'm scared to open it.
