This is one way to deal with car bombers

Watch an Egyptian Army Tank Crew Save Dozens by Running Over a Suicide Bomber's Car - The Drive

Seconds later, as people begin fleeing their cars, the tank crew makes the call. They charge forward, treads skittering on the asphalt, and crush the bombers' car before they can react.

It's a shame that the people in the vehicles next to the bomb-car didn't high tail it and just hung out.

I was thinking about who was going to repair the wall the tank backed up into while turning around.

Them POW.............the bomb goes off.

Crazy how they live over there.

Just another day.

Yeah, it's crazy what folks can get used to.

My wife went to college with a girl whose family is from Juarez (she grew up there, they were still there, I think). Even being here, she had a very hard time getting used to having one lock (deadbolt) on a door and no bars on the windows. She just didn't feel safe. And she said that the family home also had a tall secure wall around it. That was normal for them.

I was surprised by the size of the blast when the bomb did go off.

Sorta like throwing your body on a grenade, huh? Pretty brave guys, I assume an old tank like that is not well armored in the belly.

Just prior to the blast is a guy walking toward the car on our right, just over the guard rail. Then BAM He flies away. Near the end he or someone comes walking back???

Most likely with no ear drums.

The tank driver seemed to have a very good idea of how far away from the car he needed to be.

Having spent many years overseas and not necessarily in the nicer parts of the world, almost universally, what we consider a middle class home, would be surrounded by ten to twelve foot tall masonry walls and a full metal gate for automotive access. They live in what is considered a compound. The tops of the walls were often finished with broken bottles or razor wire. I have seen this in South/Latin America, Africa, the Phiippines it makes no difference, it is especially so in places like Pakistan, Iraqi or Saudi Arabia. Its universal, we as American have little idea how the rest of the world views basic security by continually living behind walls in order to keep their families safe. And yes, there were often bars across all the lower level windows despite the presence of the surrounding compound walls. The USA is a great place to live, let us keep it that way. The world can be an insane place. If you are not convinced, travel to someplace other than Europe.

He couldn't know that... at that point he doesn't even know if if will explode.

Reading the article, he's shielding the 2 MRAPs that were behind him... as they back away.
