Sig Spoon
My son returned from Ft. Knox last week with a new passion for firearms. He likes vintage and bought a Mosin Nagant M38 today from 1943. I decided our little S&W 38, with accuracy only slightly better than throwing a rock 30 feet, wasn't adequate for home defense and no fun for target shooting.
After some research and recommendation from a knowledgeable friend, we stopped by the Armory on the way home and picked up a Sig Sauer P226 Legion chambered in 9mm with SRT, night sites, and a killer grip. Hope to get to the range in the next few days to put some inaugural rounds through her. ![]() Obscured SN for photo: ![]()

I have a P226R as well. I bought my father a P220R (the .45 version). I think they are some of the best service pistols ever created. Damn accurate.
Money well spent.

I have the original SIG p75 that lead to the development of the P226. This is a P220 chambered in 9mm for the Swiss Military. It has the Swiss coat of arms on it and only says SIG on it.
It is my favorite piece.

My 226 has seen thousands (and thousands) of rounds. Only issue has been the mag springs that got weakened by the years of service abuse. Mine has a nice patina, but is still dead reliable.
I need proper low capacity magazines now that I live here

Very nice. I helped a few friends get police trade-in 220s a month or so ago, about 450 each after shipping and ffl fees.
When I wen to 9mm for ammo costs, I waffled between the Sig and the CZ. Ended up wtih CZ75 BD. |

Another P226 owner here, definitely one of my favorites. I also have a P938 for carry purposes. Fantastic pieces.

Very nice!
I shoot my neighbors once a month or so on my range and really like it. I plan on getting a P320 in .45 ACP for my birthday ![]() I have a Browning HP in 9mm but my son took my .45 Kimber with him to Law School. I have tons of .45 ammo and no .45 pistol to shoot it with. My Dad's Korean-era Colt Commander is a once a year Thanksgiving shoot. You'll be impressed with the 226.

I love my Sig 226. It was my first. I even got the .22 conversion kit... Great on the range. I liked it so much, I got its brother, the 229 as well.

I've got a 226 Legion and 220 Supermatch. I've shot several thousand rounds thru the 226 and never had a problem. I'm thinking of picking up a 229.

I've wanted a P226 for a long time (and this isn't helping). I might finally just have to go make it happen...

That's why I had to have one! I was with a buddy spoon shopping right after they came out. He wanted a little 9 and they pulled that one out. He ended up buying an LC9, but I had to get a 938 with the rosewood grips after that!
