Disabled iPhone 63 Help

iPhone 6s

I guess I have taken too many shots to the head during my fighting career. I forgot my password to my iPhone 6s. I used a pattern and numbers....anyway, I used all 10 chances and lost. It is now disabled.

I did not back it up in itunes, nor did I enable the cloud. I don't trust the ability of hackers.

From everything I have read, it may have to be restored via itunes and I lose all of my contacts, photos, etc.

I read online that the are several third party companies that alleged the data can be recovered. Anyone use one of these, and if so, what is the recommended one?

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. I don't know the solution but if you get it restored or get another one, enable thumb print unlocking on it. You do not have to worry about anyone getting into your phone, remember the whole FBI vs. Apple thing after San Bernardino?

I have the fingerprint id on, but when it is restarted, the phone requires the passcode. After that, the fingerprint works.

I have found several third party software companies:

1. Dr. Fone
2. Aisee Soft
3. iPhone Data Recovery
4. iMyfone D-back
5. iSkysoft Toolbox
6. EaseUs MobieSaver

All allege they can recover the data. Any recommendations?

Thanks, David

Sorry I don't have any recommendations other than at this point, (something I suspect you've resigned yourself to) whatya got to lose.

Either let someone try and hopefully succeed or wipe the phone and start fresh.

No because it would defeat the intent of the security measure.

And the new phone will have facial recognition which if enabled will allow the police to simply point the phone at you while you sit there in handcuffs powerless to prevent it.

One feature I will NOT be enabling.

For the facial recognition, I read somewhere that your eyes have to be open and you have to be looking at the phone for it to work. If it fails after three times, you have to put in the passcode, which is apparently what happened during their demo. I am sure there is a button combination that can also turn off facial recognition so you don't unwittingly unlock the phone when you don't want to.

I believe that's only the X because it does not have a button/fingerprint reader. THe 8 should still do finger prints.

If you have the good kind of phone account your contacts, calendar, emails should be on the server. Does your phone account have a way to access you emails via a web browser?

He's looking for photos and contacts in the form of numbers.

Contacts are not always synced to email accounts, even for accounts that support it that is an active choice the user makes during setup, not passive.

I heard the same thing, just close your eyes if they point it @ you.

Still, such BS over-the-top technology, IMO. What is the practical advantage of this?

You can press the side button and either volume button five (?) times quickly and that turns off facial recognition.

You can also close your eyes or look away and facial recognition will not work (by design).

Is facial recognition better than fingerprint? I guess we'll see how well it works. Clearly the bar is high. But I do have some issues with TouchID not working when my fingers are even slightly wet or if I'm wearing gloves (which is not uncommon as a cyclist in Portland) and I find it a touch (ha) slow at times.

Anyway, not an issue for me at the moment, as I don't plan to spend $1K for a new phone.

After carefully analyzing your problem....Man, you're screwed. Bet you write down your passwords next time.

You guys are all correct. There was no way to save it. For some strange reason back in February, i plugged my phone into my computer at home and linked it to iTunes. I don't know why I did this, but I am happy I did. I was able to reset all of the software, then restore it to February. I only lost a few contacts.

I did learn a lesson though! Thanks everyone.
