pesky neighbor
...he's too "friendly"... always asking favors, overly familial.... truth be told he's an officious snot. Wife is nice, their 5y.o. twins are hell on wheels - constant tantrums - we call 'em demon spawn.... we share a driveway and our houses are 10' apart so don't want to start any sort of a feud.... but he's really getting on our nerves.... any ideas?

Get one of those apps for your phone. When he is around have the app "call" you and then say OH MY GOD, look at him and say I have to go. If he asks you about that later act like he is crazy and you have no idea what he is talking about. Then yell our a random word like elephant! and go on like nothing happened.

Be polite and professional but distant in your dealings with him. Set clear boundaries. Don't be overly familiar with him and don't let him get overly familiar with you. Don't sit around chit chatting with him or exchanging favors. Do not let him encroach on your boundaries, physical or metaphoric. Don't be afraid to say please leave now, I have something I want to do alone.
And hit on his wife on Facebook.
