The GT500KR is one on the most sought after Shelby's. One of the best engines and improved suspension. The 428 cobra jet engine put out 400 HP. It had the cobra jet emblems on the fenders, dash & gas cap. All the GT500KR's had functional ram air. This one appears to have ram air, and there may be a cobra jet emblem on the dash. Not on the fenders. Not enough detail in these picts to tell if GT500 or GT500KR.

Ask for the VIN It's easy enough to run the VIN on any number of Shelby sites to confirm GT500 or KR. Ask the seller if he has a Marti Report on the car.

not being much for the sanctity of originality, I think I'd enjoy this more:

"Investments begin at $169,000."

But..one gets something different from your run of the mill Porsche or Ferrari. Sort of like a Singer Mustang?

Yeah, at that price point I think I would roll into my nearest Ford dealer and pickup the top of the line Mustang they had on the lot and pocket the change.

Or a turbo 911.

Never cared much about driving a run of the mill car or not, back when I read Excellence I was dumbfounded at the people who would buy a new Porsche and drive it straight to a tuners shop to have it customized.
