Thanks Guys,
Hey Jeff, I have always admired your work also. Nice machine work and products. Do you know where I could possibly buy two 17 X 11 fuchs with the 930 offset? I don't like the double stepped Lindsays. They can be bolted together also. I'm looking for wider wheels in the back of my 930 with a single step in the wheel. let me know if you make or know someone who can. Thanks Buddy! Bob

I had no idea that G scale had such cool stuff-thought is was all that old Euro trash.
I'm as impressed by the 4 channel rtr-Teac?

Hey Greg,
"USA Trains" has a huge product line of "G Scale" American trains. Look at the link below. Accucraft makes museum quality brass locomotives that are very nice. My Big boy is like the one shown below. That "European Junk" you referred too.. LOL.. is not my favorite either. But is well crafted and will last forever. The Teac R T R is part of my 1980s stereo equipment that is in great shape and works well along with my Phase Linear power amps. Those are custom built JBL monitors. Do you like the "good" old stuff too? Welcome to USA Trains ACCUCRAFT TRAINS ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bob that is one sweet setup.
My son LOVES toy trains, and the Big Boy is his favorite. I don't think he'd ever leave your house if he got there ![]() I built this for him over Christmas. Had to move my 930 out to my parents house so the train layout could be in the garage. Obviously, I'm a long way off from being a model builder, but he sure loves it. ![]()

Rich, You're a great dad! Anyone who would relocate there 930 for a train layout, has to be a dedicated father. You did well for him, that's a nice "O" scale layout for his age. Now you have to see how his interest continues. And as "his" wallet gets fatter he can buy more. Right? I loved trains and everything mechanical since his age. I went through different phases in life. Always wanted to be a aerospace engineer, race VW's and Porsches, Hot rod airplanes ( war birds) and finally settled back down in my 50's and decided to build another layout outside.
What if he decided your Pcar has to stay somewhere else? LOL ![]()

Hey Rich...LMAO..I see your 930 taped to the garage door! LOL Is that a reminder to the little man what is supposed to occupy that volume of space?
Ha! Bob

Ok, I just fell down a rabbit hole. Live steam G scale Allegheny? Pennsy T1? Oh please, like I need some $6k locomotives and a layout around my yard...
Somebody shoot me.

Using CAD with VR glasses and glove controllers:
Someday the barriers between model assembly, repair manuals, and education will be blurred and become one. Ala minority report but better. You will instantly be able to call up any size or type of object, take it apart into components, modify, stress/heat/flow test, get specs on the fly, and learn how it ticks using only a fraction of time and requiring none of the physical space/tools/materials. |

Not up to Dawg's grandeur, but I've been working on my walk in closet HO railroad. I've added a harriman baggage to my head end heavy double header (It's over 10 feet long) and starting collecting Virginian coal tenders on a 2-6-6-6.

Halloween, then put it in a display case, or on a stand like armor. I have the rest of the costume, and I'm making the game props.

Now that I have the model, Ive got to get everything to build it. It does not have many parts, but most of them are very small. Biggest challenge will be to cleanly extract the parts and to paint them.
