I hate these types of threads....... Because I usually win.

It was -42C the other day....... that's with the wind chill. It was -34C Both will kill you just the wind chill will do it faster.

It hit 55º yesterday. That's 70º warmer than a week ago! (And still not shorts weather.)

The roofer came and fixed the issues. He didn't charge me anything. He said that he did the roof on my house before I bought it and warrants the roofs. I had him do a roof for me two houses ago and my recommendations have gotten him at least 6 additional roofs.

You did well. That is some honest roofer and he will get a lot more business. I have noticed some houses in our neighborhood where ice dams have been ignored and serious damage has ensured. The owner ignores the problem and sells the house to the next unsuspecting owner. We have not had enough snow to roof rake this year. Last winter I roof raked once.

Mine turned out not to be an ice damn but a leak in the high roof running under the siding and then behind the flashing on the lower roof.

And yes, I put this roofer in a rare category for contractors. TJ's Roofing in Bloomington, Illinois. I've had six friends use them and all of them are happy as well.

What I find amazing about our bodies is the adaptability. It went up to 34F on Tuesday. I left the gym in shorts and a T shirt and was really rather comfortable (in the sun at least). So yeah sub zero sux but we do adapt.

60* F today, 20* tonight and 5" snow coming. Normal weather in Indiana depends on what day it is.

Doesn't matter.

To paraphrase Churchill; 'Tomorrow will be winter but you'll still be in Ohio.'

Ok, ok relax, cab. Because I live in Michigan nobody takes me seriously. You shouldn't either.

50 degrees and rain here. Supposedly the temp will drop 40 degrees before midnight.

At least it'll be freezing rain before turning to all snow.

It's not that I take you seriously or not... it's that I figure being from Michigan you just don't know any better

We're supposed to have some snow coming in early tomorrow morning. Two days ago they were calling for 8-12 inches, today it's around 3 inches.

60ºF here today as well, right now 57º and pouring. Tomorrow we are suppose to get 18" of snow! But today was nice and got a chance to clean out the shop, got a chance to snap a few photos of the "fleet" while lined up on the driveway.
