Do you guys live in deep space or something?

peppy 01-01-2018 03:06 PM

About 15° F here, and I'm trying to sell ice cream.

Bugsinrugs 01-01-2018 03:14 PM

68 degrees today in the Sierra foothills. We need rain bad. Bulbs are popping up. This just isn't right.

Evans, Marv 01-01-2018 03:36 PM

Our lows are in the 40's with daytime in the mid 70's where I live. We also need rain badly, & some of the trees are getting buds. They're confused. We had a really wet season last year. Seems like each year now is an extreme.

Bwahahahaha

I don't think asking for "Average" is asking too much... but it must be.
Calling for -8 tonight... Curse you Polar Vortex !

Por_sha911 01-01-2018 04:22 PM

Are those the real temps or are you quoting with wind chill?

masraum 01-01-2018 04:23 PM

hahahahahahhaha

ROFLMAO!

That SUCKS!

I'm not actually minding our low this morning which was 31°. I think we topped out around 40 or maybe as a stretch 45°. I think the next two mornings will be our coldest in the mid 20s.

I have lived in Northern Japan which gets pretty cold, but not ever that cold. The average Jan/Feb temps are mid 20s to mid 30s for the lows and highs. I know we had temps below 0°F at least for wind chill, but I think there were also a few below 0° days (or maybe single digits) when I was there. THat was cold, but I was young (8-10yo the first time and 13-15 the second time), so I didn't mind it as much. You dress for it and you get used to it to a large extent. I'm not sure that you ever get used to the temps that you guys are seeing unless you live in the arctic, antarctic or Siberia.

Going to be nasty!

It's 47 here in Orlando. I'm in full body thong airing things out. The locals are convinced a blizzard is about to come upon us ala end of times. My wife is tired of me sayin 'come check out my thermometer'.

Bill Douglas 01-01-2018 04:36 PM

Summertime here. I've just had a swim and paddleboarded about 5 kilometers.

enzo1 01-01-2018 04:45 PM
