As a kid of an Air Force officer, my brother and I had a crew cut all of our younger childhood. Simple rules, if he pays for the haircut it will be a simple buzz cut. I still remember dad giving me 25 cents to ride my bike to the barber shop in San Marcos, TX and hand the barber the quarter, and it was about two minutes and I was out of there.

Finally when mowing yards I had enough money to spend some on my haircut. The hair got longer, but never touching the ears, or the collar. I have had the same hair style since those days. Except the hair is a bit (OK solid) grey and a lot thinner.

I never cared if my hair turned grey, I just don't want it to turn loose! Now it has turned around on my head, and grows down and out my nose and ears.

Her Mom makes her look like a boy and her younger sister makes her Mom look like a boy. I have fixed all their cars. I am in.

I like it. I like it a lot.

It's all bull puckey unless you have photographic evidence.....

I would pay extra to go somewhere they DON'T talk to you. I cannot stand forcing conversation with barbers. They all wanna talk to you and know your life story when all I want to do is sit there in silence and enjoy the experience which is hard to do with someone gabbing your ear off. Especially when you can't hear what they're saying with clippers going by your ears.

I once had that experience with a dentist ! Seriously, he's got all sort of instruments and suction tools in my mouth and talking to me like I'm expected to answer ? "ghaaa" "Uhhhh" ???

For the record, my hair guy is $17 so $20-21 w tip... Supercuts is $26 ! Baz lives someplace cheap!

I followed mine through three shops over five years, eventually i married her.
Didn't work out well.

The first person in 32 years to ever cut my hair after her began stalking me.

I'll put up with the male bravado bull**** of an old school barber, I'm avoiding hairdressers...

Even if I meet a nice girl, if I find out that she is a hairdresser, she's done ;)

I’m just about to have my hair cut

Got my normal guy, Mohammed, he's from Nigeria. Does a fantastic job at LaFlamme in Harvard Square. He's a great detail guy. Neck, ears, eyebrows. We talked about work, Ferraris, he recently got married, trip to Nigeria to see family, stuff like that. Cool guy. $17 cut, $8 tip because it's a $25 cut all day long.

1030 appointment today.

Souk's youngest daughter wants to leave the Air Force (Air Force Academy graduate) and she thinks her daughter is "going backwards".

Discussion on Korean values, how lucky we both are. Happy to chat since we are going on 30 years.

Same $17 to $25 because $25 is a once a month fee for competence, getting exactly want I want unalloyed.

Had mine cut today. $15 (plus tip)...took her 15 minutes.
Everytime I go there, I end up asking for more to be cut, before I leave.
They like to have you return every 3 weeks or so....too often for me!

Heh. I retired earlier this year. Bought a clipper set at CostCo yesterday. Wife will be cutting now. So, the question arises - D o I give her the tip, er, a tip?
