I almost bought one when I picked up my gti, but I really needed the 4 door version

I’m up to 140k on mine now, 100k being miles I put on her. I love this car and hope to keep for another 100k

They are just such a blast to drive and it makes my commute bearable. You’re going to have so much fun in this through the Santa Cruz mountains.

Using the the paddle shifters or sport mode is a kick when downshifting into a corner and it rev matches.

I just sold off my 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S for the same price 210 HP 2600 lbs and a hoot to race around in. Kind of wish I could have kept it, but do not have the room and we needed something really economic.

I keep thinking I need to get another FWD fun car again in the future, they are a blast.

How is the understeer in your VW? If you get any look into a tighter rear sway, I did it to the two Mini's I owned and that simple change dialed out most of the understeer.

My first JCW had coil overs too and I t would actually oversteer, it was a great car to drive with your right foot at its limits.

But seriously, no bump steer? Have you had it in a performance driving situation, such as an autocross or a serious canyon carve?

It definitely makes a unique daily driver. I am a hot hatch fan. The most fun you will have in an economic and practical vehicle.

I've only had it two days so haven't had chance to really test it yet. I did go around a freeway cloverleaf very quickly and it was very stable.

My current '06 Smart ForFour Brabus is under 2400 pounds, and is tuned to 210 BHP in a 145 inch long car.

I agree !

Most of the MK5 GTI's in my area area have over 120,000 miles on them for about $7K to $8K.

Also, I heard that the fuel pump cam follower should be changed every 20,000 miles.
At least it is a cheap and easy replacement.

Your numbers are diffent than the 2005 numbers I was able to find.

Kachi 22, I said my car is tuned to 210 BHP and I have the dyno sheet. It has a log header set, freer flowing exhaust, improved intake pipe from turbo, and a remap by one of the foremost Mitsubishi tuners. The forfour is a completely different car from the ForTwo. It uses the front wheel drive Mitsubishi Colt platform, with plastic panels on a completely different body frame, and the BRABUS uses a completely different engine from the 1300 and 1500 forfours, although it is also a 1500.The 1500 diesel versions use a 3 cylinder derivative of the 4 cylinder 2 litre diesel used in the old Mercedes A series.
The BRABUS is quite rare for a modern car, only 1284 were sold worldwide.
