Yeah, can't believe they let him on track after blowing off the driver's meeting. First day running the company mistake.

You have implied I said a number of things I didn't in this thread, sort of poor form, wouldn't you agree?

I hope this lawsuit doesn't ruin it for us all

Certain race organizations have refused to go to certain tracks because they look out for the safety of their competitors

some clubs take more precautions than other regarding safety.

I think it is worthwhile before signing up for an event to recognize with organizations are more fly by night and which ones are high quality (providing ambulances and other safety measures) vs just renting attack and letting people go.

I dont know enough about this event, organizer or incident to comment on it but it is one reason I chose to lap with PCA and not some other club where I might be more likely to be taken out by another competitor.

Buyer beware, and beware before signing a waver and paying, not after.

From what I've seen of these track days, I would be less worried about the track facilities and more worried about the other idiots they let out there with you...

Racing is far, far safer than track days. I've been to a Ducati track day at Autoclub Speedway where I was able to get 4, yes 4, at-speed laps the entire day. It was a $hit show red flag event.

I thought that all motorcycles are "gyro-stabilized" already. They have the front & rear wheels spinning, which resist a change in direction. Barring any chassis issues which can cause a precession (like a tank-slapper), a motorcycle is already inherently stable due to this.

Its the rider that makes them unstable. Sometimes the bike will throw the rider and go its merry way. Bikes are like horses that way.

come on shug, what's your deal with dump trucks and being completely ridicules ?

indeed. when racing I was around the same drivers every event and we knew each other both on & off track good & bad. I sold the spec car in 2015 I have yet to go back to tracking either of the 911's ive owned since because it's too much of an unpredictable clown show. you can tell by simply walking through the paddock at times.

im more fond of the jeep hobby now. there's still clowns, but WE are moving much slower.

LOL, his site and company is very fkced up:
Team | Lit Motors
Natalia Amijo: is not in his company anymore(?), but still listed. She has had two other assignments since that.
Stefano Villanti: look at the links in his desciption.
Also for other persons listed on the Team-page: a lot of online drug buy/discription-links in the descriptions.

it said the same thing in the original article, that his case against SCRAMP, the county & mazda was thrown out by the judge. the club promoting the event is still being sued by mr kim and could still jeopardize track days as we know them in the future.

so, no new news in that link.
