Well if you get near Dubuque, IA Taco John's is on me!

I kid, we have Iowa chops if you like big juicy pork chops, plenty of good beef places, or I can throw a prime rib in the suis vide then smoker for you and best of all, we have fresh, squeaky, cheese curds.

Ahoy Hugh, how the travel adventures going?
Lots seems to happen while on the road. I hope you are able to post up here as things unfold for you.
Are you towing a car with you? That both complicates and adds to travel in a motorhome.

It's not a bad idea to lay up every few days in a nice area for a rest day and to brake up the road days.

You have so many invites to stop in, you could make this a pelican tour.

I hope being on the road is fun for you and the Mrs.

Cheers Richard

Hugh, If you come by the Nashville area stop on by.

Hugh..i'd imagine you would have to buy in Vegas. :D

haha.

pete3799 04-11-2018 01:51 PM

Well you'd have to overshoot your mark by a lot but if you get up this way stop in. I can even fit your camper in the garage if needed.

motion 04-11-2018 01:56 PM

Hugh, whatever you do, don't get up from the drivers seat while going down the highway and try to walk to the back for a pee. That never ends well.

Safe travels.

You will become one with the stinky slinky. Let it become a zen moment. You must not fear, for fear is the mind killer, the little death that brings total obliteration...

Anyway, I’m far south in San Antonio, but you’re welcome anytime.

john70t 04-11-2018 02:36 PM

George and I owe you a lunch here.

daepp 04-11-2018 03:34 PM

I’m seriously jealous – have a great trip!

Update!

Needles on Sunday, Meteor Crater on Monday/Tuesday,very interesting place, RV park was OK but no cable hookups, the directv dish is a pain to align.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1523488011.jpg

Albuquerque at the Route 66 Casino/RV Resort, nice but again no cable.

Now in Amarillo, TX going to The Big Texan Steakhouse where you can get a 72 0z steak for free if you can eat in one hour (not me!).

70s to 90s days 40s at night. Getting 9-10 mpg, no toad vehicle for this trip.

Might pick up a directv cube that finds the satellites tomorrow, tired of effing with aligning the dish and tired of what poor quality cable tv I’m getting.

Still enjoying with wifeys and dogs company.

Tobra 04-11-2018 04:51 PM

I love that. In the middle of nowhere Arizona and the satellite signal is less than ideal.
