Hey Hugh, I figured this was a bit out of your way. But wanted you to know that you do have a place to base yourself if you did happen to swing down this way. Maybe next trip.

You are heading thru an area with lots of Corps of engineers parks now, keep an eye out for those fine places to check out along the way.
And happy trails on your trip home.

Keep us posted on the adventures along the way.

Cheers Richard

You need a Mi-Grid for that thing! SmileWavy

^hey Richard, you sure you're not thinking of the Delaware? Chez Seahawk is on the Potomac, and a much wider section I suspect near to where it dumps into the Chesapeake. The Delly is not so wide @ Washington's Crossing where George famously moved troops on Christmas and the next day won the Battle of Trenton vs. Hessian mercenaries.

Safe travels HughSmileWavy

Now in Louisville, KY. Five days of rain, lightening, fortunately the RV isn’t leaking. I can park, level it (automatic),plug in water, power, the automatic TV satellite dome, and water in about five minutes. Refrigerator seems to dump waste heat inside the RV, running the A/C overnight helped a lot. Coachmen instruction books are generic and not that helpful.

You should head south to Bowling Green and take a tour of the Corvette museum. It is pretty cool.

Thanks for the correction Jwasbury, That was what I was referring to, I should have checked the details, just can't trust my memory any more. So fun getting old.

Cheers Richard

The elevator thingy to the top of the Arch, eight cars stack up on top of each other and stay level as they travel up the Arch from each end of the Arch, seats five not very much head room, 4 minutes up, 3 down. the view is interesting, but each viewing window is only 27” wide by 7” high. Maybe. A dozen windows on the East and
West side at the top. Hour wait, five to ten minutes at the top. 630 feet IIRC.

Kind of kitschy but don’t care. Will add KS, CO and UT before we get home on this trip. $18 from Camping World.

Very cool. Remember those old, “See the USA, in your Chevrolet!” commercials in the ‘60s? They always inspired me to road trip, whether in a Chevy or not. :)

It’s on the side of one of our slide outs. Now just outside of Kansas City ,MO. Show of hands, how many know there is a Kansas City,MO and just across the river is Kansas City, Kansas.

Kansas City Kansas, home of the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, and the Rosedale Arch.

If you are heading to Denver from there you will soon drive for hours and stop for gas, and drive for more hours and stop again and think you are in the twilight zone because it is all the same.
I always figured anyone that thought the 55 MPH limit was a good idea should drive across Kansas to Denver and if they hit 56 get a shock in the butt.

Keep having fun on your trip.

Have fun in KC Hugh, it’s a cool city. If you want a good local beer both the Boulevard Brewing Company and KC Bier Company are really good and have nice tasting rooms.

Don't forget about seeing Pikes Peak from I-70 and getting excited, only to find out it is still another 3-4 hours drive....long drive, big azz mountain !

If you are still in KC, go look up Bryant's BBQ.

...and be sure to get some take-out and a bottle of sauce.

Hey Hugh....

Thanks for the updates and cool photos! I really like that decal-map. Where do you get the states....come with the map in the first place, right?

The zoo in St. Louis was run by Marlin Perkins at one time and features a lot of natural themed habitat, FWIW. Pretty crowded city though, if you ask me.

Yeah...I know about the 2 Saint Louies....

Not sure if it's on your way but Eureka Springs, AK is a pretty cool place to visit not to mention Branson, MO which is in that same part of the country. Some very beautiful countryside.

And of course Estes Park just north of Boulder and that drive up and around to Grand Lake is very picturesque.

Safe travels, my friend.....

The stickers come with the map. You can get sticker or magnet version but on the outside of the slider, you want the stickers otherwise the rubber gasket will wipe them off when you pull the slider in. And why would you want magnetic ones anyway, in case you change your mind as to where you’ve been?

Joe’s is better! I’ve never been that impressed with Arthur Bryant’s.
