This time it may win.

Every year living on the water you never know.
This year we could loose the whole valley.
watching stuff float away.
pumping 1500gph out of the basement but loosing the battle, have 6in water. Can't get another pump anywhere.
Been battling for days and now watching it get closer to the house. just heard the choppers flying overhead. Could be evacuated soon.

Hope it stops before its inside your house.
Stash some drinking water if you can, may come in handy later.

Fingers crossed for you.

Cheers Richard

Wishing you the best. Flood waters are dangerous don't try and ride it out if you think it will make it to the house. It's just a house and just stuff. Collect anything of value and sentimental now while you have the time to do so in a calm and relaxed fashion. Flood waters will destroy everything it touches. If you have flood insurance take photos now for your claim later. Inside drawers, closets, etc. All corners of all rooms.

Best of Luck. I'd suggest you not leave and figure out a way to remove the water - BUcket Brigade if you have to. The water will crest and retreat fairly fast (assuming the crest is close).

Did the 5gl bucket thing yesterday starting at 3 when the FN first pump that was suppose to pump up enough but didn't so had to fill 5gl bucket every 3min and then up seven stairs and out into the yard .When I was dumping one another was filling . Went till 1.38am , left with a skim of water ,woke up at 4.30 and checked and 4inches. Now I'm completely flooded. 1ft of water, hot water and furnace are toast and I'm getting worn out and worst is to come . highway is getting burms along it . rescue boats behind vehicles, people running everywhere fast ,choppers, EV vehicles everywhere. We gotta get this over with because we have the seasonal forest fires coming

Good luck!

I was just on the Columbia today. The current was VERY strong and levels were higher than usual. There is a lot of melt off in the mountains. More where you are it seems.

Crap. Hope it backs off quickly and soon!
Was watching some video of a hillside next to the highway slumping around your area.
Fires last year, floods this...
Cheese and rice. Whats next?

Everyone understands the urge but it's irrational. Staying will only make a bad situation worse. Good luck.

Good luck and be safe 'wolf. Floods really suck. New York harbor came into my house during hurricane Sandy. Never, ever, ever want to go through that $hit again and would never wish it upon any human, even ones I don't care for.

Anything you cannot carry out, put in your dishwasher, they tend to be water tight.

Also put suff up as high as you can 2nd floor, if you have it attic if not.

Sorry your are going through this hopefully the floodwaters are rising slowly enough to give you time to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
