The Expanse - TV series
I have read ALL of the books. Not happy with the series. Anyone watching that has not read the books? Thoughts?
The characters Holden: He's blond - He is bad ass, opinionated and decisive, not a whiny puke Naomi: Is taller/lankier than Holden - Belter Draper: She is supposed to be a GIANT, too big to fit standard mech armor suit, and again, decisive bad ass I understand they have to add some excitement, but some of the "tv danger", like toolbox going open during maneuvers, seems stupid when they are fighting with PDC and missiles. I understand it is hard to convert a book or series of books to a movie or TV. And I think the show is decent. I just wish they would stay closer to the plot of the books and leave the "junk excitement" off.

Never read the books, pretty much give the TV show a 9 out of 10. It's complex enough that you need to watch closely, the effects are just fine, and the willingness to kill off a major character like nothing gives it some gravity.
I did read an article that said that the second season was two half seasons in the wrong order. The Eros event was more important than the alien event, the two halves should have been switched for a better flow.

I’ve read them and the series has been ok. It’s better than a lot on. I think some of the casting is good.

I've read four (or five?) of the books, have the last two sitting on the shelf waiting. Have loved the books thus far.
I missed the first season of the show and haven't been able to find it on demand, and I don't want to jump into an adaptation midway through a storyline. Is it available anywhere?

Amazon Prime. It is included in Prime video if you are a Prime member.

I have been watching it. I like some of the plot twists, and I suspect it would be easier to follow the story if I had read the books.
Overall, pretty good science fiction. Al least it is another after the Apocalypse story. I am so sick of those.

Getting to where I wait for a season to finish and binge watch the season. Did that with season 1 and liked it having not read the books. Usually don't like to watch stuff I've read because my minds eye is better at directing and special effects.
